WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO TCCH FOR 8 YEARS NOW AND IN 8 YEARS WE MISSED 5 APPOINTMENTS.... WITH 2 DIFFERENT DOCTORS WE DEAL WITH THREE MISSED APPOINTMENTS IN 8 YEARS THAT WAS OUR FAULT AND 2 WERE TCCH'S FAULT . I HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THIS FORTHCOMING MONDAY 10/24/22 WITH A PSYCHOLOGIST WE HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE "AMY" A FEW MONTHS AGO. TODAY FRIDAY 10,21/22PICKED UP MY SON AT SCHOOL...... AND RETURNED HOME AT 3:20 PM. AMY OR SOMEONE FROM AMY'S OFFICE CALLED AT 12:27 PM AND LEFT THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE THAT WAS TAPED, ". IF WE DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU BY 4:30 TODAY YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED DUE TO NON-VERBAL CONFIRMATION FROM YOU . THIS PERSON LEFT A PHONE NUMBER AND AN EXTENSION NUMBER. I CALLED FOUR TIME USING THE EXTENSION x5003 AND GOT THE SAME MESSAGE, " THERE IS NO EXTENSION 5003' ! SO I CALLED AGAIN AND DIALED 0 FOR THE OPERATOR. The operator was very pleasant and said, "i will connect you to X5003". she came back on the line and said......." Your appointment is… confirmed", after I gave her information on my son . Fully we had planned on attending this session with Dr. Amy, as my son has not attended in house school since 4th grade and he is in 7th grade now and has experienced bullying with the kids in this school, big time. for nearly 1 year now ! he returned to school 2/21 in 6th grade happily ! He needed this therapy but, Amy or Amy's assistant assumed that we would sit around waiting for her call and gave less than 4 hours to call back as our appointment with TCCH was not important to her ...........perhaps a child's needs are not important to her. I waited 2 years , had my eyes sewn up and finally was operated on Wed. 10/19/22 and within 2 months went through an unsuccessful angiogram of my left leg. My life is a calendar after my son's chemo, ADHD, and my own issues. . I cancelled my son's appointment with Amy after the operator ( very pleasant ...Laura .....and efficient ) as I do not choose or allow anyone to put a 4 hour gun to my head for a call back after 2 months of waiting for this appointment when I was NOT home and given a frustrating wrong extension number. My time is just as important as any doctor's time ! The main focus of pediatric therapy is MUTUALITY, and there was nothing mutual with what transpired today . There are other therapists in Vero and I feel that this incident happened for a good reason ! We do not need to have one way communication with someone who calls all the shots and I attempted above and beyond to call back . Perhaps TCCH has risen to their highest level of incompetence with patients ?
