Withheld Records – No Pre-Treatment Scans Provided Patients deserve transparency—especially when irreversible dental work is involved. After paying Dr. Aquiles Mas at True View Dental tens of thousands of dollars for a full-mouth restoration, I requested my complete digital records. What I received was deeply concerning. The USB drive included only a few lab scan files used to fabricate restorations. There were zero diagnostic records—no pre-treatment scans, no X-rays, no photos—despite the fact that dozens were taken. Nothing showed the condition of my teeth before irreversible procedures were performed. This isn’t a clerical error—it’s a serious breach of responsibility. These records are critical for continuity of care, second opinions, and legal documentation. Their absence raises serious concerns about transparency, ethics, and compliance with Florida dental regulations. If you're considering this provider, demand all records up front—and proceed with extreme caution.
I regret having to leave this review, but feel obligated to share my experience. I received extensive restorative dental work from Dr. Aquiles Mas at True View Dental, involving over 20 teeth. Unfortunately, the results were unsatisfactory both cosmetically and functionally. Despite raising my concerns calmly and professionally in writing—while copying my legal counsel for documentation—Dr. Mas abruptly terminated me as a patient without providing referrals or follow-up care. Many of the restorations were affixed with temporary cement and began failing shortly after, leaving me in an ongoing state of vulnerability and discomfort. A second opinion from a well-credentialed prosthodontist confirmed the need for a complete redo of the treatment due to poor laboratory fabrication and substandard clinical decisions. I was advised that repairs would cost at least $40,000—on top of what I already paid Dr. Mas—bringing the total financial burden to nearly $100,000. In my opinion, this… outcome reflects a lack of experience in complex cosmetic and restorative dentistry, poor judgment in lab communication, and an unacceptable response to legitimate patient concerns. I have since filed formal complaints with the Florida Board of Dentistry and the Department of Health. I strongly recommend seeking multiple professional opinions before undergoing major treatment at this practice.
