I started seeing light orbits and floaters in my eye, knowing these can be early signs of a torn retina, I called the Kellogg Eye Center, even though I wasn’t an established patient and it was a day before a holiday weekend. After speaking with the receptionist, I was amazed to receive a call back within 15 minutes from Dr. West, the specialist on call. She was incredibly kind, thorough, and compassionate. After listening to my symptoms, she made the decision to bring me in for an exam 2 hours later. Despite her already full schedule, she fit me in and performed a careful, detailed examination. I couldn’t be more grateful. Dr. West went above and beyond when she didn’t have to, and she also made sure I was scheduled for a follow-up to continue monitoring things. Her care and professionalism gave me peace of mind during a very stressful time. I’m truly thankful.
