Unfortunately, I could not give this "doctor's office" less than a one-star review. West Volusia Pediatric Associates is one of the worst pediatricians I have experienced. After my child’s pediatrician retired, the office experience has been negative. We were seen in the fall for an office visit and had to wait an hour over our appointment time to be seen by the Nurse Practitioner. I had asked for an estimated time when we would see the NP during the visit, because we had been waiting, and had not received a response. I had explained I had another appointment on the other side of town and they did not care. When we finally saw the doctor, our appointment lasted four minutes. We were told that they could not help us, and if the problem persisted further, they would refer us to another office. About 15 days later, we received a bill from the doctor’s office, explaining we had to pay for the office visit, insurance did not cover everything. Come to find out, West Volusia Pediatrics… billed my insurance company $223.00 for a visit that was: 1. not on time, 2. lasted four minutes, 3. did not help my child 4. told me there was nothing they could do, and sent me on my way. Now they are explaining we owe them money for a “service” or “help” we never received. I have attempted to call their billing office on several occasions and have only spoken to someone one time, who told me they would remove the charge, but the charge has yet to be removed. I have been on hold with the office for over an hour on two other occasions before I finally gave up, and tried to call back another time. DO NOT waste your time with this office. It is a sorry experience, and your children’s health is more important than what they are willing to provide.
