I went into St. Peter's Urgent care a week ago for a shoulder injury. It first appeared as if no one was around, but after a minute a young guy finally peered around a hidden wall and said I needed to come around to his side. ?? Not sure why it took him so long to acknowledge me. He was very unfriendly, disconnected and seemed rather annoyed that he had to be there. However, I will give kudos to the Xray gal and Dr. Rachel Mattern, who were both very pleasant to deal with. Later that same weekend I phoned the SP Urgent Care (they are open 7 days a week until 8:00 pm) and left a message about getting my Rx refilled. THEY NEVER CALLED BACK. Another episode w/ this Urgent Care happened several years back, when I went in for an minor incident and there was a young woman w/ her husband sitting in the waiting room. She was in some sort of extreme pain, and was rocking back and forth holding her stomach. At one point, she laid down on the floor in a fetal position and was crying. Her husband kept going to the window to ask how long it was going to take, but while I was there, no one ever came out to assist her. When a nurse finally did come out, she called my name, and I went up to her and said to let this poor girl go in front of me! She rudely explained that wasn't the correct protocol and she would have to find out if she can make the switch. She proceeded to the back office, then came out and said she could switch our spots, but asked if I was sure. I replied YES I’m sure! Can’t you see how sick that poor girl is?!! She explained I would now have to wait further, but I said no thanks and left. I highly suggest going to Urgent Care Plus, which IS NOT affiliated w/ St. Peter's.
