Dr. Alexander Demetrios Kofinas, MD

Dr Kofinas has a brilliant mind and is very passionate about what he does. He advocates for his patients and has a staff who is helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and very capable. I'm grateful for him and his team and only am pregnant thanks to his expertise. I can't imagine where I'd be without Dr Kofinas!

Dr. Kofinas should be in jail not practicing medicine. Abrasive in nature and misdiagnosed me and put me on unnecessary drugs!

Dr. Kofinas and Dr. Pilliteri conduct an extremely shady business together. They build one another up as "the best" and perform unnecessary surgeries to make money. Go with your instincts. I wish I did.

Thank you for helping me when all other drs. told me to terminate. You saved my baby and took the time to explain everything I needed to do and why. I now have my perfect baby because of you :)

Dr. Kofinas is an amazing specialist and I highly recommend him! Dr. Kofinas caught an abnormality along my placenta that a previous maternal-fetal specialist had missed and he has immediately started treatment. He was present during all of my appointments and was VERY thorough in examining me and the baby and if we had any questions he answered them thoroughly and never rushed us. I left every appointment feeling confident that my pregnancy was going well thanks to him. My son is now 6 months old and is a happy and healthy boy thanks to him!!

It took me a while to write this but I want to make others think again before using this Dr. I was pushed into injecting myself or was told my baby would die. This was not said in a caring way. I was told I needed surgery for low cervix. Well I had the surgery like an idiot. I took 5 medications. Every office visit left me crying. It was my first baby. For my second baby I decided to get a second opinion. Well. Basically everything I had done in the past I didn’t need. My second pregnancy was so smooth with no issues and no medications. My first child has so many issues and I can only believe that it is from all the side effects of the medications. I stopped taking the meds without telling him the last two months and guess what. I was fine! Winthrop has far superior doctors. Don’t let what happened to me happen to you! If it feels wrong. It is!

I can't believe this man won any awards of any kind. I dont like being tested for no reason and find out i was on medicine I didnt need to be on. This seems like a trend from what Im reading. Ill give the office staff a star bc they were nice but I would never recommend this dr.

I am absolutely convinced Dr. Kofinas is the reason I am a mom. After 4 first trimester miscarriages, a friend recommend I go see Dr. Kofinas. I was 42 years old and 5 weeks pregnant when I started going to Dr. Kofinas. I was high risk and he was exactly the doctor I needed. Because of his knowledge and expert care I gave birth to a healthy 8 lbs girl. Yes, he had his 'moody' days and I personally didn't care. I needed a high risk doctor not a best friend. I cried on my last visit as I thanked him and he teared up. Both he and his staff checked up on me for several weeks following the birth of my daughter. I highly recommend.

Horrible bedside manner and truly incapable of helping without rushing to medications or surgery!
