Dr. Anthony C. Mackaronis, MD

This was a long overdue OBGYN visit and my first time seeing Dr. Mackaronis. Like most women, I arrvied feeling generally uncomfortable about being examed, however Dr. Mackaronis immediately put me at ease. He was very professional, kind, and caring. Dr. Mackaronis made the exam as comfortable as possible and took time to talk with me about my history, family planning goals, and gave professional advice both before and after the actual exam.Overall, I was very impressed with this Doctor and definitely recommend him.

I found Dr. Mackaronis is be the utmost professional & concerned about my problems. He is a doctor who listens to his patients problems and discusses their options and his recommended plan of treatment. Very impressive young doctor.

Our daughter was diagnosed with sagital craniosynostosis in the womb (that means her back soft spot closed before birth. the soft spots are pieces of the skull that have not formed together as solid bone yet, they not only allow for the brain to grow during childhood developement, but also allow for the head to mold to fit down the birth canal. this is a fairly common defect these days)We were not expecting an easy delivery. They said that it does not usually require a c-section, however I am a very petit girl and this is my first child. His lack of control and decision making did not make it any easier.After much difficulty with pushing, he told everyone he was going to prep the room for a c-section and if the baby was not out in a half hour we'd be going in. When he returned in a half hour and said the room is ready, the nurses told him "No, she's pushing this baby out!" and went and got a sheet for me to play tug-of-war with my husband and mom. Not only would they not listen to us… about the craniosynostosis, but worse was he allowed the nurses to boss him around. He did not take control of the situation, which is HIS job!Our baby has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
