Dr. Barry Drew Malina, DO

Dr. Barry Malina has been my doctor for over 20 years. He also treats my family. As a physician myself, I always appreciate his thoroughness and deep knowledge of both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine. Because of his broad experience and expertise, Dr. Malina is also who I have recommended my patients to see for more complex care.. Knowing that I can trust him to care for myself, my family, and my patients, is invaluable.

I have been treated by Dr. Malina for almost 26 years. He is the most highly skilled doctor of the many doctors, physical therapists and alternative practitioners I have tried over the years. I have fibromyalgia, migraines, connective tissue problems where ribs pop out, frequent sublexations and Osteopathic eye issues. Dr. Malina's treatments are most effective for all of these issues, in fact, I don't know how I could have made it over these years without his help. As someone who looks to reviews to inform my own decision-making process when seeking out services, I try to write them in the hopes that they may be helpful, as well. Dr Malina is not just an ordinary DO. He's a specialist with training and knowledge I don't understand, but a process and application of care that treats and heals above and beyond in ways that are always healing, even if I can't explain them. I know that sounds vague, but I've been to DOs in NYC, AZ and CA, and only Dr. Malina treats me with the intention to get me well for the long term, while addressing my pain and problems in the short term. Dr. Maline is a high, high recommend that I've personally recommended to family and friends for many years.

Our entire family has been to Dr. Malina for various concerns. We refer to him as the "miracle man." I have heard from our Pilates instructor that many of her clients have been to him and refer to him in the same way. He cares. He listens. He is amazing. What is completely frustrating is that having insurance cover his practice is quite difficult....so it is usually out of pocket. I would rather spend the money going to him than going to someone covered by insurance and never get satisfaction.

I injured my clavical sternum muscle. I was in pain for 3 months and thought I was going to die. I went to a doctor in Maine. He told me I had a sinus infection. I went to a dovtor in Canada. He said I had an ear infection. I went to a doctor in Oregon and he told me I had a sinus infection. I went to a neurologist in Phoenix and she told me I had migranes. Nothing worked. The pain was so excrutiating I just wanted to die. i went to Dr. Malina and asked him to just listen to me. He did and then said, Wait. I think I know what you have. He brought me back a sketch of a head with hot spots-on top of my head, my eye, my neck and my chest. I said, that's me. What is wrong with me? he said you injured your clavical-sternum muscle. He did three sessions with me and then told me for a month to only lift a pillow or a back pack purse and nothing else. Within a month, the muscle healed and I was back to new. He truly saved my life. What a great doctor!
