I appreciate Dr. Saroian’s frankness and direct approach. Makes me feel I’m in good hands.

I saw Dr. Saroian for a few years and unfortunately my company switched insurances and unfortunately I had to find a new provider. I have seen the other comments and I can understand how people might feel she is rude, but honestly she is the most real psych that I have every had. I am 39 now and have been treated for several years. She would actually talk to me where other psychs will just write me a script, ask if I am okay, and then send me on my way. She has an independent practice so you can't just go to her office and expect her to be available to you. I have been able to get same day appointments with her often. She was very flexible with her time and would really work with me. I understand some of the other comments about having to wait, or her being late but I have never had that happen. But you have to realize she is dealing with mental health patients. And she cares. So if she is with a difficult patient...or someone having a hard time....she will usually step out and let you… know whats up. She isn't there just to write scripts for you. Also, if you are medication seeking or just want meds to get high...don't even bother going to her. Maybe that's where people were exposed to her "rudeness". She actually cares. She is honest and she is real and she takes pride in her job and if she is not comfortable with a person or the reasons they may be wanting help...she will find out and she will confront them. We live in a society today where people are looking for the "quick fix" or the "quick high". Dr. Saroian isn't about that which is why I really do like going to see her. I just switched insurances again and I am really hopeful that I can go see her again.

We live in a small town quite a long ways from Dr. S. I've been seeing her for several years, and she always works with me to make appts convenient for me, in conjunction with other reasons I have to be in the S.D. area. Her diagnostic and listening skills are wonderful. But the greatest thing for me has been her ability to determine which medications are most beneficial for me. She stays up to date and keeps refining what works best. The staff question is n/a. Unbelievably, she is a one-man show and handles everything herself. Love her!

I have never met or heard of a physician who was so rude and unprofessional as Dr. Saroian. I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition which is exacerbated by anxiety. I waited 50 minutes patiently at her office while she was with a patient only to ask her to approve a generic form of my lexapro prescription. (I don't currently have medical insurance so need to go with the generic form of all medications.) I asked her if I could have a minute of her time and mentioned that I have a medical condition. She instantly cut me off and practically shouted at me that "she doesn't care, I need an appointment". I can't believe how she spoke to me, especially since she's a psychiatrist (not that it matters). I would advise anyone to NOT see this psychiatrist. This isn't the first time she's been rude to me. She seems to flip a switch and snaps. She needs to take some of the medication she prescribes her patients.

I was very happy with the treatment provided by Dr. Saroian.She was attentive, concerned, and able to pinpoint my issues and address them directly.

I had to wait three weeks to get an appt with her, but she was worth the wait!She was very thorough and spent a lot of time with me. She was very knowledgable and I felt like I was in good hands.

I always feel attacked and criticized after a visit with her.
