Dr. Daniel Lai, MD

My experience with this neurologist was extremely negative. I felt the encounter was rushed, dismissive, and not based on a careful review of my history. Serious conclusions appeared to be made without sufficient discussion, testing, or clear documentation. When I tried to explain context and request a more thorough evaluation, I did not feel heard or fairly assessed. I felt the doctor’s attitude was combative, dismissive, and inappropriate for a healthcare professional. Of every doctor I have seen in my life he has the worst attitude. I would strongly recommend that patients seek care elsewhere.

I am new to Florida state, and I am Epileptic. So naturally, I need a neurologist. I chose Dr. Lai at random because he was closeby. I saw him once and only once, speaking for less than 5 minutes. He knows nothing about my medical history. When I told him I have a driver's license, he made assumptions and twisted the truth. The next words he said, "I'm going to have to report you." He took actions without knowing the facts. I was approved to drive by my doctor over 25 years ago. I have been safely driving since he was in grade school. He was never my neurologist, I saw him for an appointment. Now the Dept of Safety and Health is revoking my license. After less than 5 minutes of Lai's arrogant ignorance. I tried to get him to correct his mistake, he refused to even speak with me. Lai is the perfect name for him. I'm opening a lawsuit.

Dr Lai has the Worst bedside manner I've ever seen, he is very insensitive, and does not care about his patients. He is very demeaning and condescending when speaking to you. He actually made my Mother cry and when I questioned him about what he said to and about to her. His remark was oh well that’s how it is. We will never be returning to him. I recommend everyone to stay far away if you don’t want to be treated like you are insignificant. He needs to be working in a Morgue where no one can hear his remarks or see his facial expressions. I went to see dr Lai today after being rescheduled and his nurse said she would check into that. Well when dr lai came in the room he proceeded to call my husband and myself a liar and made sure to make my husband state that he was wrong with a cocky smile and his head cocked to the side. He’s got horrible bedside manner, is insensitive, and does not care about his patients he only cares about the paycheck. If I could give 0 stars I would as I will never be returning to him. And I recommend others stay far away if you don’t want to be treated like dirt.
