Dr. David Thurston Barr, MD

I asked for a copy of my bill and was told I was too needy that I needed to find another doctors.

Doctor Barr has been my doctor for the last 5 years, I have only seen him a few times when I've needed things taken care of that were very important and to the point that I needed to visit the doctor. Most recently was yesterday I had been fighting a sickness since 2005 and was never able to find the problem back when I was in the military after many years, the problem had been laying dormant, it restarted its problematic issues in the last week. I went to see Dr. Barr about this after doing some research when I was on the table and he walked in and we were discussing my issue he had mentioned the same thing I was reading about. A doctor in 2005 at the same time that my issue 1st started found the problem with his own self and after many years he had done research and found out what was needed. With the knowledge of Dr. Barr, with keeping up with the medical treatments and research he was able to come up with a plan for me and put me on the recommended medication that was needed and… the same medication that is over every website I have been on doing this research. And after just one treatment of the antibiotic the pain is gone, and hopefully will prevent this from turning to stomach cancer. Doctor Barr is a very quiet man he will sit and listen to every problem you have, and do a thorough examination. I think he is a great doctor and I will always respect him and appreciate what he does for the community and for helping me feel better. A+

I have been a patient of his since1991 and will continue to be. He is a relaxed person and this can be misinterpreted for lack of caring, but I trust his judgements. He keeps me calm and interested in listening to what my body is telling me. He doesn't ask for too much just a straight forward question and answer.

As with all doctors, patients must work with the doctor as best they are able.

Doesn't diagnosis anything. Patient tells him what to prescribe...No followup with Patients and doesn't regulate the medication in blood stream to level behavior. Recommend to close clinic and let the patients seek real active, healing help. He is a horrible doctor.

This Doctor hardly spoke and gave no diagnosis. I paid and left without knowing any more then I arrived knowing. On the other hand the staff and Nurse were all very friendly. The building was very hot and uncomfortable. Very disappointed and will not go back.

I feel super uncomfortable around this doctor and he like does not talk much or anything. Be nice for a doctor to actually ask your symptoms and things.
