Dr. Desiree Bobino Thomas, MD

I’ve been suffering from ankle pain for almost two years and seen every doctor under the sun with imaging that had no results. It was suggested to me that it could be nerve pain. I made an appointment and was told by a nurse before I even had my appointment “She can’t help you.” I told her I’m aware that there are nerves that effect the ankles such as sciatica or tarsal tunnel and I’m out of options/doctors to turn to. That I wanted to speak with her to help me see if it could be nerve pain. She said “well do you have tarsal tunnel?” I said no, but there have to be other tests or other nerves that can affect my ankles so severely. She told me if it’s sciatica then go see a back doctor and again she can’t help me. Are you really a doctor? Do you have to have other people diagnose your patients for you and you just do nerve tests? I couldn’t believe the lack of care/apathy toward my situation.

She was caring and just lovely! Such a great doctor. My first impression of her made me feel so confident that was going to take care of me and my problem!

Dr. Thomas has been my doctor for three years. I LOVE.her. Her bedside manner is awesome. She is rather reserved, but I find that it's because she is an attentive, empathetic listener. Her treatment plan always includes solutions which work best for me and she is always willing to re-approach if things are not working.

I had a history of tension and migraine headaches ; my previous PCP moved across the country and his replacement would not consider treating the pain . I researched for a good neurologist and discovered Dr Thomas. She was very thorough ; her staff very helpful . I was so happy I forgot to get my prescription ; no problem ! I emailed her and it was done the same day . I hope she never leaves !

I live half way across the country now, but still fly back to Houston for my annual check up with Dr. Thomas. I have zero complaints, and nothing but praise for my treatment. I have never had a specialist that was so accessible; returns my calls or e-mails promptly, and is very easy to make an appointment with.

After my appointment and more test I still do not even know what is wrong with me. I asked Dr. Thomas and received a "probably" answer. In one week I was prescribed 4 different medications which all had side effects that would keep me feeling high or sick. I just feel like the emergency room showed me more concern and gave em a clearer picture of what is wrong with me. @nd opinon on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was thorough, did the necessary testing. Follow up with good too. I am very satisfied.
