Dr. Edward Carey Spoon JR., MD

I originally saw Dr. Spoon when he was off of Shadow lane. I had called when I was 6 weeks pregnant and spotting needed a doctor quick. I was expecting a nurse to call back to make appointment. But NO he called got all my info and asked if I could come in that day or the next. Ultrasound in office same day as first appointment. I had high risk pregnancy but he treated us and delivered my youngest son in 2001. I had been seeming him up until about 5 years ago as I had moved out of area. I am back now and hoping he has an opening for a new/old patient. I understood when we had to wait as he did have emergencies and guess what, he delivers babies and emergency surgeries. Staff was always sweet and kind. Doctors are human too. But always treated me and others with kindness and professionalism . Love this doctor .

I LOVE Dr. Spoon's bedside manner. He's professional and thorough addressing concerns in a way that makes you feel at ease, with both the comfort and confidence in his diagnosis and treatment option(s). His sense of humor is awesome as well. :-)

Started with his old partner. Decided to try Dr Spoon after he was on call and delivered my daughter. She had the cord wrapped around her neck. And Dr Spoon did a great job at handling the situation. He's great sense of humor helps .. Won't go to anyone else..

Dr. Spoon and staff are the best on both sides of the spectrum.. extremely personable very easy to talk to and very professional, knowledgeable, trusting people.. prompt return of calls (Same day!) I trust this awesome doctor with my life, my 3 daughter's and all my grandchildren he delivered! When on the operating table panic attack creeping in, Dr.Spoon saw it, made his presence known to me and instantly calmed all my emotions, put me at ease.. Love him!

Dr Spoon has been my OBGYN for over 7 years I would never see another Dr. He cares and is very understanding. VERY well educated and explains things so you understand.

Five stars are not nearly enough to rate Dr. Spoon and his staff's awesomeness.

Dr. Spoon was very nice to me. He took great care of me when I had my hysterectomy. I appreciate his staff for being so friendly and helpful. I would recommend his services to anyone looking for a good obgyn.

I always had a very long wait and then finally had him do my surgery and he nicked my utera and I was his only patient that day and had to have 2 more surgeries, out of work 4 and a half months and went back early so I wouldn't loose my job, I still have medical bills haunting me due to his mistake, gained weight back that I had lost, was and still sometimes depressed and this all happen in Feb 2011

When looking for a highly qualified gynecologist to diagnose what might be a very serious post-menopause situation, I checked Vitals.com and found Dr. Spoon. Based on excellent qualifications, education and reviews, I set up an exam, which was performed by a very skilled and experienced female P.A. The results required further studies, and Dr Spoon called me personally to discuss results and next steps. He had me come in for another exam and biopsy which he performed himself. Follow-up was fantastic; test referrals were simple and quick. It did not take long to get in for the tests, or to hear the results from Dr Spoon or his nurse. Dr Spoon is not only qualified on paper, he is also very likeable, professional, and caring. I highly recommend him and his associates and staff, who are as professional and caring as he is.
