Dr. Ferhan Asghar, MD

I highly recommend Dr Ferhan Asghar, and would rate UC West Chester Hospital as an outstanding five-star facility in a well-situated location. Butler County is fortunate to have such a highly qualified surgeon as Dr Asghar providing excellent care in this well-managed hospital complex. My most sincere appreciation goes to UC West Chester Department of Orthopedics for the success of my recent lumbar laminectomy. Dr Asghar and his staff (Dr Jonathan Ellis, CNP Abigail Komplin, et al.) were everything I could have hoped for in health care professionals. They answered all of my pre-op questions and concerns, provided clear and concise descriptions of the surgical procedure, and demonstrated genuine dedication to the success of my recovery. All of the pain I had prior to surgery is now totally gone, and I truly feel I am on the road to a better, healthier life. I also want to extend my thanks to additional staff at UC West Chester Hospital who were part of my care team. The individuals at… the Center for Perioperative Care who provided pre-op assessment were considerate and professional. Post-op, my overnight stay on 4th Floor UC West Chester Hospital could not have been better – and the Dining Services meals were delicious. Attentive hospital staff regularly stopped by my room to check on me, and the Occupational/Physical Therapists were most instructive and helpful. Overall, I am thankful that my back surgery turned out so successfully, and am grateful for the expert and compassionate care I received from Dr Asghar.

Dr Asghar is the kindest, most competent Physician I have experienced in my lifetime. His surgical skill is unbelievable. After he performed back surgery on my lower back, I was pain free not only in the long term but during the recovery period! I was expecting the exact opposite: tough, tough sailing for a couple of months or so. Unbelievable! Dr. Asghar is equally caring and compassionate when I go to him for routine checkups. He is my Huckelberry! Likewise, I have nothing but praise for all the Docs that I see at UC Health. Go Bearcats!!

Dr. Asghar did neck spine surgery C3-C6 with fusions and rods on me followed by back surgery S1-T-10 with fusions and rods. The neck was Oct. 2021 and the back Feb. 2022. Other than waiting on the fusions to solidify, I am fully recovered. My back was in severe kyphosis (humpback) and the spinal cord in my neck was almost completely pinched off. Dr. Asghar is AMAZING! He explains things clearly, he's thorough, and his surgical skills are incredible. See him for your spine issues.

I have scoliosis and wanted a second opinion from another neurosurgeon about surgery. He told me I don't have scoliosis and I need to wear a corset and lean to the right. I have a spinal cord stimulator for the pain for goodness sake. What place gave him a medical degree?!

I am recovering so nicely from back surgery two weeks ago, L5/S1 herniated disc. Prior I was in severe pain, for 4 months, and the last month of pain was excruciating. And now I am well on the road to recovery. Thank You Dr. Asghar

My doctor had recommended Laminectomy and I decided to take a second opinion from Dr. Ashgar. Good doctors know how to prescribe the most important drug of all â?? a positive attitude, and I would like to thank you for doing just that. More than a good doctor, I value the fact that he was a good listener. I value the fact that his staffâ??s attitude was exceptional. He also called me before surgery and asked me if I have any last minute question that he could answer for me. I am on the way to recovery now, and will recommend him in a heartbeat. Dr. Asghar gave me hope again. After debilitating pain that caused me great depression and anguish he did a cervical fusion from the moment I woke out of surgery I knew things were going to be better. Dr Asghar is professional, caring, knowledgeable and compassionate. I would recommend UC orthopedics and Dr Asghar to anyone with neck/back pain.
