Dr. Flora Edison, MD

If your a senior citizen looking for a Dr.,DrEdison at Wellmed is great! She has taken excellent care of my husband when he was facing a very serious surgery. Although she did not do the surgery she checked on him regularly,even calling him while he was in the hospital and at home! What Dr does that this day and age? We are very greatful for her in our lives. This is a Dr that gives you all the time you need at an appointment without rushing you thru.

In trying to implement a primary care physician, after not seeing a doctor in quite some time, and moving from one state to Texas, I was interested in finding someone who had experience plus extra education and certification. Dr. Flora Edison seems to fit that requirement; however, upon trying to schedule an initial appointment I was told that if I had a Medicare Advantage plan I could get that appointment much sooner. I have a Medicare primary, with a secondary plan, and was told the first appointment available would be in 6 months (since Medicare was the primary). I feel this is totally outrageous and discriminatory. If you all want to wait this long, then I would recommend you go for it, but I feel that my personal healthcare is a bit more important than that.
