Dr. Gary M Pess, MD

I wish I could give Dr. Pess a ZERO rating. This Dr., in my opinion, is outrageously rude. After spending over an hour in the waiting room for an appointment to which I was 20 minutes early. The doctor barreled into the room, sat at a stool and asked me what I wanted done. Excuse me? I was following up on a previous visit for a ganglion tumor on my right hand to which there were many treatment options. I felt it was the doctor’s (Dr. Pess), responsibilities to explain those options to me instead of asking me what I wanted done! Further, when I asked which options did I have, he nonchalantly told me he would do whatever I wanted and did not answer any of my questions. Needless to say, I am on my way to find a doctor that cares! Patricia Scharff

I've seen Dr. Pess twice re possible carpal tunnel surgery. Each time I waited an hour past my appointment, and he saw me for all of 10 minutes. The second time he didn't even close the door or sit down. He volunteered no info and barely answered my questions.

I'm in the process of scheduling my fourth trigger finger surgery with Dr. Gary Pess. Every office visit was punctual and although he's obviously an extremely busy doctor, he has always taken the time to discuss the various options which were available to me in addition to providing straight forward information concerning the percentage of success I should expect after the completion of my surgeries. All of my surgeries were %100 successful and while this may sound very strange, I can't wait until my fourth surgery because I'm confident I'll be very happy with the result. I give this doctor an absolute 5 Star rating.

I found Dr. Pess to be very understanding and caring. He took the time to listen to me and was able to cure my problem simply. Highly recommend.

My husband uses Dr. Pess who is very good and personable. He originally saw another doctor who was just had a horrible bedside manner. We see him is the Freehold office. My problem with this office is their schedule times. They do not have late hours and do not accommodate or even bother to try to fit in a post operative patient. Their front desk representatives are not helpful nor do I feel even willing to work with you. Unfortunately I feel that since the front desk staff of any medical practice sets the tone of the practice. I will base my opinion on it and will not got to a practice that is not set in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

we first saw a different doctor in the practice who was rude and extremely rough. We scheduled our follow up visits with Dr.Pess and the difference was remarkable. He took the time to explain to us what was going on and was gentle during examinations

Dr. Pess offers excellent care. He establishes a treatment plan and will follow through for the patient's successful outcome. Dr. Pess defines process and if needed procedure care. His expertise in far reaching and most appreciated. His office staff is most helpful and accommodating.

Dr. Pess has been treating me for arthritis in my thumbs for the past few years trying different treatments, most recently with cortisone injections. They were working on and off, but we both decided it was time for surgery. Hopefully this will help with the long term pain.

Traveled from Central Pa. Dr. Pess, long trip but worth every mile and would do it again if needed. Great Dr. lovely man

My hand surgery (carpal tunnel and trigger fingers) and total experience with Central Jersey Hand Surgery and Dr. Pess was so pleasant. I put the surgery off expecting a painful experience and long recovery. I was so wrong to wait. I am so pleased with my outcome!
