Dr. Gilda Tafreshi, MD

I have had many Doctors in my medical journey and I can honestly say that Gilda Tafreshi is by far my favorite. If I had things my way, she would definitely be my primary care doctor. Not only is she well educated and thorough in her work but she is very compassionate with the best bedside manner I have ever known a doctor to have. My only regret is trying to find other doctors that can fill her shoes. For those who are wondering why she is no longer my Doctor, its because my HMO does not cover the new clinic she now works at. So if you need a Neurologist, look no further. She is definitely the ONE!

I had a very bad experience with a different neurologist. I was afraid to go to another neurologist after that. However, when I went to Dr. Gilda Tafreshi, she was such a breath of fresh air! I am a nurse, and know a great doctor when I meet one. She was thorough, kind, listened completely, and went over my entire history along with me. She is professional, great bedside manner, and came up with some solutions for us to work on together. She will work with you. I am so happy to have met her and to have her as my neurologist now. She also spent the needed amount of time with me. I appreciated that. Don't hesitate to go to her.

I am so glad I found Dr. Tafreshi. She has helped me so much. I started going to Dr. Tafreshi for horrible vertigo and migrianes. She has treated me with respect and takes time to listen to me at all of my appointments. She understands what I am going through and she works with me, with my input, on how to treat me and move forward. She listens to what my concerns are and makes alterations on my medications based on what those concerns are. She is very attentive and follows up with me. My vertigo has completely gone away and my migraines and getting so much better. I am so thankful for Dr. Tafreshi and her wonderful staff!!!

Dr. Tafreshi is knowledgeable and professional. She shows a respect for me, making me a full participant in all decisions regarding my health. She helps me to fully understand my issues and the different methods of dealing with them. I am so glad to have found Dr. Tafreshi.

I saw Dr. Tafreshi for my Vertigo, she was very thorough and very caring....we tried various medications until we found the right one for me. I definitely recommend Dr. Tafreshi to the world, great Doctor.

My very first visit with this doctor made my condition worse. I had been taking one seizure medication for 3 1/2 years before meeting dr tafreshi. She did a blood draw that first day. The next day she called and told me I had been taking way too much and ordered me to skip my next 2 doses and then start taking the medicine at a reduced amount. I started having a large number of seizures within a couple of days of this reduction in medication. She responded by adding another seizure medication, nothing changed. She added one more medication, things got worse for me. She sent me to another neurologist after that... He figured out I had been taking my one original seizure medication at the perfect amount and told me one of the 2 additional drugs added by dr tafreshi were contraindicated for my case.

This doctor makes rookie mistakes. She lowered my anti-seizure medication to the point where my seizure activity increased dramatically. When trying to refill my prescriptions recently, the pharmacy had no luck getting any response from her office. Lucky for me, another neurologist I've seen before agreed to help me get my prescriptions refilled before I ran out.

STAFF WAS VERY RUDE

Dr.Tefreshi was a huge financial waste for me. She is very inexperienced and is almost impossible to contact. She sent me out to take blood tests that cost hundereds of dollars knowing i had medications in my blood that would alter the test! She is very passive and did not have a real interest in helping me for the money i was paying. Very much like a docter that just shuts your file and forgets about you until you call and remind her that you are her client. I had an emergency situation where my medications where out and i needed more to avoid medical complications, it was like pulling teeth to get in contact with her. Her staff is terrible, they even tried to tell me there were other neurologists out there and that she is inexperianced! Overall it was a terrible waste of time and money that i will never see again. She still hasnt followed up with me months later. I wonder if she even remembers i was her client. I am now seeing a much better neurologist, Dr.Martin, who is actually… interested in working with me to alieviate my trigeminal neuragia symptoms and hopefully heal it completely. My advise to anyone looking for a neurologist is to look elswhere, Dr.Tefrishi WILL NOT help you in any way.

Dr. Tafreshi is an excellent doctor. You can tell she really cares and wants to help. I enjoy every visit. Her medical expertise and ultimate concern cannot be matched!
