Appointments are on time and easy to schedule. Very thorough with X-rays and mri s to ensure prognosis is correct…showed me that a prior surgeons prognosis was wrong. Despite his ability to make more money on a surgery, he uses it as a last option. Provides various courses of action and recommendations. Friendly. Staff is friendly.

I had ankle problems for years, I would roll my ankle and sprain it bad. One time I did and my ortho referred me over to Dr. Linz. He do several test and found out my tendons and ligaments we’re so lose that’s why I was rolling and spraining my ankle and my ankle bone was unstable, so he operated and I was doing great, until I messed it up. So he went back in and fixed what I messed up. Recently I was having trouble with pain in my other ankle and he found bone spurs. So he operated, and found more then just bone spurs. There isn’t any one that I trust more then Dr. Linz.

I was only 15 years old in the 8th grade playing basketball when I rolled my ankle for the first time, fast forward 6 years later and 5 ANKLE OPERATIONS later I can barley walk and god knows I can’t run anymore and if your wondering how I got this way it is because I complained to John Linz at a appointment after finishing my freshman year of varsity football with ZERO ankle sprains,that I was feeling 1)pain in the back side of ankle which was later found out because of mri that pain was coming from a bone spur and really this is the primary reason why this appointment was made because pain was the issue and 2) my ankle kinda felt just a little bit off like perception wise and this bother me more in a mental head case way that maybe I wouldn’t be as fast anymore and speed is important to a young football playing kid right so I told him about it and he ask me is it unstable and I was like sure I don’t know and then we as a family ask what would he do then John described the lateral… ligament surgery to me and my loving family and also to keep in mind he just told the process and not the risks because of course you got to leave those out right and yup he performed the surgery!!! To me and my parents surprise when he said he was going in to 1) take out bone spur and 2) see what it looks like inside if my ankle needs lateral ligament surgery and yup he did the lateral ligament surgery that keeps me from waking right running right living my life oh yeah keep in mind I was only a 15 year old kid and I received 4 operations that were malpractice down the road from different doctor because of lack of reasoning and it’s complicated but i know it’s hard to believe I know but I meticulously have read all my reports from all my appointments and MRI and research standards for having this type of surgery and 1) I did not have enough ankle sprains in my life for it 2) I did not show any tears 3) Needed more therapy before decision was made and so 6 years later I visited him for one last appointment and I straight up ask him did you operate on me way back when just because I said I was kinda unstable and you can guess what he said... (Conclusion statement,This is my sad story that I hope that can steer people in the direction of getting a second opinion before surgery thank you god bless)

Overall dr Linz was thorough and I had complete faith he'd do a great job. Just a week after surgery I feel pretty good. Thanks Dr Linz.

Do your research and find a specialist that understands bedside manner being so important when you are struggling. This specialist should never be considered compassionate when it comes to dealing with patients. He does not listen. He does not care about how your injury is impacting your life. If you want to feel like you are part of an assembly line then he's your man. Otherwise, steer clear of him.

I had my ankle replacement in 2004 after having I Nguyen numerous other surgeries and am I ever thankful for Dr. Links and his experience. It was the best thing I ever did. My ankle is like new again. It healed exactly like he told me it would. He explained everything to me so I knew what to expect. His office staff is the best. Everyone takes your problem and helps you through it. His bedside manner is very friendly and helpful. He spent more than enough time with me at each follow-up appointments. God bless him I hope he is in practice for many years to come. I would hate to find another specialist for my ankle.

Went to Dr. Linz for Hallux Rigidus. He performed surgery and 2 years later I still have the problem!!! I was off work 3 1/2 months went to physical therapy and spent a lot of money out of pocket only to have to have the same surgery again this summer by a more qualified surgeon !!!

There was a time lag that was longer than I would have liked to get into see Dr. Linz but the care was excellent.

Very compassionate and loves his job. Great physician.

still a lot of pain got infection on incison ,couldn't do therapy so ankle healed stiff still painfull, stays swelled all the time my thoughts infection was not treated kept getting worse befor anything was done took a total of 9 months
