Dr. John M Tune, MD

He treated my father when he had a GI bleed. His nurse warned my father that this doctor does not use any sedation when cauterizing the bleed. He also did not prescribe the appropriate mediations given his condition. Every time he had a follow up, he would just say, "everything is fine" and would not prescribe anything else. He had another GI bleed again.

Dr. Tune was my father's gastro doctor for 15 years, and my father always complained of rectal bleeding, Dr. Tune did several colonoscopies and always diagnosed my father as having hemoroids and constipation but FAILED to diagnose a polyp/tumor that became a cancerous tumor stage 4 cancer which he lied claiming it to be stage 2 cancer that was curable, a year later my dad died after enduring many agonizing chemo treatments. He didn't even have the courtesy to give us his condolences.

THIS DR overbooks. The waiting time is approx. 1-2 hrs to get in. He spends very little time with you and seems irritated when you ask him to explain the test results. Office staff is very unfriendly, especially the east side office . If you call you are always put on hold & told there are other callers in front of you. I can understand that but it is said very rudely.

This doctor double books his appointments. His staff was very rude the majority of the time. He would not assist with paperwork needed for short term diasbility. Insurance had to pay him a large amount of money to complete the paperwork required. He spent 10 minutes at the longest during an appointment. I am unsure how he was given such a high rating as he was abrupt, rude and became offended when I asked questions. I have spoken to several of his patients, all were unhappy with his care. This doctor is strictly in it for as much money as he can get out of each patient. Even the office staff of my other doctors that had to interact with his staff commented on the unprofessionalism of Dr. Tune and his staff. Anytime I had a prescription filled it was a problem as pertinent information was left off causing a delay in obtaining my medications. Dr. Tune has the attitude of someone who is trying to make as much money to retire as he can and no longer really cares for his patients other… than a means to an end.

I had a severe pain in my abdomen for days. I went to a Dr. who diagnosed it as gastritis but nothing seemed to help. I made an appointment a few days later with Dr. Tune. The appt was made for the next day with a nice and courteous staff with a short wait time. As soon as I explained my symptoms to Dr. Tune he knew exactly what my condition was and diagnosed it as gallstones and sent me to an emergency room that same day so that tests could be done the he could'nt perform in his office. Gallstones were exactly what I had and was operated on to remove my gallbladder the very next day. Thank you Dr Tune! I would recommend him to any and everyone who is having any sort or stomach issue.

The best GI I have seen!!!! And I have seen about a 6 other GI Doc's The only one to help me and give me an actual diagnosis.
