Dr Dayan did my facial reconstruction/ reanimating surgery last week following the removal of parotid tumor by Dr Ganly. They work together in cases like mine. I cannot ask for a better doctor than Dr Dayan. He has so much empathy, kindness and understanding that I almost go speechless in his presence. He met me before the surgery and gave me the kindest smile of assurance. He did the best he can do as he promised and much more. I have a road to recovery to cover but I am so blessed by the outcome that all this reinstated the faith I had in God in me. His entire team are angels of God. I will always have him in my prayers for his long life and health so that he can continue to do Gods work of pulling miracles after miracles benefiting people like me. I have 2 young children and didn’t want them to be traumatized by my post surgery face but Dr Dayan did such a fabulous job that though I have some more waiting to do I am able to resume most of my facial functions. He is my God.

Dr. Joseph Dayan is an exceptionally skilled surgeon with a bedside manner like no other. He attentively listens to your concerns and answers all of your questions. I trusted his recommendations and I'm very pleased with my outcome. I had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction at 43 years of age. I never thought I'd face these circumstances at my age, but I'm truly grateful Dr. Dayan was part of my journey. My history includes breast cancer and multiple breast reconstruction surgeries in NY and VA. With the latest recall of Allergan breast implants leading to cancer, I decided to replace my recalled implants in Dec ‘19. Prior to my surgery, I investigated and solicited recommendations as to what cancer facilities and plastic surgeons were at the top of the list. It was with this research that I chose Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and Dr Joseph Dayan. I am happy to say I could not be more pleased with Dr Dayan and MSK. Dr Dayan is one of a dying breed of doctors. He is compassionate, takes the time to listen, answers questions and most important - a perfectionist and very talented surgeon. He is at the top of his game AND he wants the best for you. I thank God for Dr Dayan and MSK – they are both fabulous!

My daughter was fortunate enough to have Dr. Dayan do her re-construction following her mastectomy. As a parent, my primary concern was my daughter's safety and well-being. I had every confidence in Dr. Dayan prior to the surgery, but the care and genuine concern that Dr. Dayan displayed after my daughter's surgery were more than I could have imagined or hoped for. My name is Prudence Marchand from Norwich, CT and I can could not be happier with the service provided to me from Dr. Dayan and his staff. I had uterine cancer which left me with lymphadenitis in my right leg. After surgery I had physical therapy and my therapist had raved about Dr. Dayan. Meeting him changed my life! He was able to do a lymph node transplant, taking lymph nodes from my neck and transplanting them to my leg. My leg was originally 33% percent larger and after this transplant, it has now been reduced to 8% larger than original. I can’t say enough about Dr. Dayan and his staff. They were all caring, considerate and knowledgeable. They were wonderful about scheduling my appointments around the train schedule. The made me feel completely comfortable, like I was speaking with a friend, not a doctor. All my questions and concerns were never insignificant to them and I was never rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Dayan and his staff to anyone for their medical… needs.

Sine day 1 of my wife’s breast cancer diagnosis Dr Dayan has been there for us not only as a brilliant surgeon but also as a friend. He has performed 6 surgeries on my wife including lyphnode transplant surgery to help cure the lympheda in her left hand and arm as well as reconstructive surgery for her breasts. A finer surgeon or better person you will not meet. Worth any wait time you may encounter gives every patient an extreme level of personal care and time.

Dr. Dayan was the reason I chose to do my double mastectomy and reconstruction at MSK. I'm 30 years old, have the BRCA mutations and wanted to feel like myself if not better once everything was done. He was wonderful from the day I met him - listened to my concerns and directed us how to get there. The outcome is amazing - people don't believe they are reconstructed! I had some hiccups from the initial mastectomy and he took all precautions, played it safe and I healed ASAP. I think that's great - I didn't want a cowboy. I wanted someone who was gifted and an artist and who would take the time to do right for the best outcome of natural looking breasts. His team of nurses is seriously amazing too. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I was very concerned about my appearance after my mastectomy. But after my second surgery my fears disappeared. The reconstruction he did exceeded my expectations. They are perfectly symmetrical and are exactly the same size then before I had surgery. I am extremely happy with my results.

Dr. Dayan is an incredibly talented and equally kind surgeon. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32 and I am extremely fortunate that my breast surgeon referred me to Dr. Dayan for reconstruction. I had a lumpectomy that left a significant defect in my breast, and to be honest was sure from the start that I would be left looking deformed. I am truly astounded at the work he did. He educated me on ALL of my options, spent almost an hour with me on my first visit, and we decided together on a course of action. He prepared me for every step of the process, from surgery and recovery to the way radiation would impact my reconstructed breast. There were no surprises - other than my awe at how incredible my breast looks! You honestly cannot tell at a glance that I had any surgery, let alone breast cancer. Dr. Dayan preserved my relationship with my body and I will always be grateful that I was lucky enough to be his patient. You may see reviews that mention wait times. It's true, they… can be long. However, a small price for the level of care and considerate attention - let alone results - that I got from Dr. Dayan. Bring snacks and a phone charger and know that it will be worth the wait.
