Dr. Kiumars Arfai, MD

I am seeing the doctor because my back is a hotbed of arthritis and spondylitis and the doctor has has been giving me injections. You could not have a better bedside manner even if you were Marcus Welby. He's also a very good doctor! The staff are of course over worked but still cheerful and courteous. Be Patient.

Did not relieve my pain. Staff was rude and incompetent. Messed up two appointments with no apology. Did not get a bill until a year later. Have since been to a great doctor. Doctor Darakjain he is in northridge on roscoe blvd. 818-882-2228. He uses a special X-ray machine that pin points the exact spot to inject the medication. Dr Arfai injects the medication in to three random spots, which were obviously not the right spots.

If you only have one injury or mild pain Dr Arfai is Alright. I have 9 diagnosed problems in more areas of my spine. Lower Back, Pain, Mid back pain, Neck and Headaches.everyday. I was treated fine and functioned normally for over 2 years then He said He wants to cut my meds . and I lost 30 lbs in over a year I have no appetite and I Detox evry couple of weeks when the pharmacy runs out. Isaid I feel like I am going to die and they replied , You have to die sometime. He said He is not going to return it to the proper dose after he cut my meds. I Have never abused anything or anyone., but I feel I am being abused now. After 27 years of treated properly , He thinks he knows better than any doctor I had before. I showed Dr Arfai the CA. Law sayng He must treat intractable pain aggresivelly to function normally but he ignores it. He argues and won't let me talk and storms out.

if you look at the all reviews, you realize- most of them fake, there is no comments, or detailed rating, just 5 starts, which is very strange, based on real reviews with detailed ratings, i do not believe that so many patients satisfied 100% when it comes to waiting time, staff friendliness, time of aptm. That makes me feel less trustful towards this Doctor, as i strongly believe- he was the one who asked his relatives and friends- to leave these positive reviews. What a shame....

The staff gave me paper work to sign. One of the agreements that had to be signed was that I could not go see another doctor unless I cleared with him first. I thought it was strange. Dr. Arfai is in my insurance network, but his surgical room which is his back office is not in network. He immediately suggested epidurial shots for my back pain but did not discuss what side effects could be . He just said everything has risks. And he give 70 shots to people a day.

Dr. Arfai is a good doctor, not the best, but, good. However, his staff is terrible!!!! Twice now they have told me they scheduled my epidural injections and twice now I've been turned away upon arrival at surgi center because his staff did NOT schedule my procedure. His staff has messed up too many times with me that I have decided to find another Dr. with hopefully, a more competent staff!!!!

Dr. Arfai is kind and very conscientious. I've seen him for a year and he's conservative with medicines and thorough in reviewing medical records. I highly recommend this doctor.

My care was excellent. I am an RN and I would highly recommend Dr Arfai. He made a great difference in my quality of life. I now have a Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator and on zero pain meds.

Never worry about anything except how perfect it has gone...not too easy, not too hard...very busy but does check how you are looking and feeling...noticed i was "sad' one time when he was really busy adn that is not his "specialty" and he is VERY sweet but not a total pushover, which is perfect for me! He is also EXTREMELY well educated and his staff is VERY professional..not hormonal teens at THIS desk, no siree and no iphones either!

I LIKE HOW DR .ARFAI IS GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES TO HELP ME ,AND HAS EXCELLENT BEDSIDE MANNER, HE GREETS ME ALWAYS AND TAKES TIME WITH ME AND LISTENS TO MY LIST OF CONCERNS AND QUESTIONS AND HOW IM DOING ALWAYS ,, HE IS THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE HAD THROUGH MY LIFE TIME AND HE TAKES CARE OF ME ALWAYS. I GIVE DR. ARFAI A MILLION STARS !!
