Dr. Mehran Habibi, MD

I went to Dr Habibi for a second opinion after reading all those good reviews and for the name of Johns Hopkins. The experience started from bad, went to worse and will probably end as worst. To begin with, I requested that a female nurse be sent with him during the examination (I thought I would feel more comfortable), instead they sent another male student with him who seemed to have no clue as to why he was there. Dr Habibi didn't bring any paperwork with him, apparently hadn't seen any of my reports, minimally explained what was happening to me and what my options were. He only answered the questions that I asked. He barely spent 15 minutes, concluded that he will do the surgery within 5 weeks, all without much of my input. He handed me a genetic testing kit in the end and asked me to schedule my surgery at the front office. By the time I was out, I had no idea why I went there in the first place. After 3 days, I got a call from his nurse. I told her everything and that I don't… want to continue with their hospital. I asked if I should send the genetic testing kit back but she said I can throw it away. I thought I am done with them but alas, today I see a $117.16 charge on my insurance for the genetic testing kit. Guess I have to deal with them a little more before I can say my worst experience with this doctor and his office will be over.
