Never bothered to call in my prescriptions. Would be nice to be able to pick up the medicines I was told I would be prescribed for pain, swelling, etc.
Nurses and Front desk staff are genuinely kind and caring. Very good experience and glad to find a doctor and staff who truly cares about your well being. Will be telling all friends and family to come to Panhandle orthopedics.
He and his staff have made dealing with multiple problems with such professionalism and care
I brought my 2 year old son who is not at the age were he associates going to the Dr with shots. Dr Gilmore was able to make him feel comfortable and communicate with him in order for him to do the testing that he needed to.
I had a Psoas injury diagnosed by Dr Gilmore. He was very thorough and helped me understand what that meant, and believed I would make full recovery through physical therapy. I saw Melanie and Bren at Panhandle Orthopedics in Dr Gilmore's office, and again OUTSTANDING care was provided. They are all experts in their field with a genuine caring touch. I feel so strongly about this that I would entrust my child in their care... And did! Sadly my daughter had knee pain after playing sports and gymnastics, but after seeing Dr Gilmore, Melanie and Bren, she is well on her way to full recovery! Highly recommend this office for any orthopedic care needs.
Very professional and friendly staff. Doctor is knowledgeable, explains issues clearly.
Extremely knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my issues and concerns before recommending the appropriate treatment. I am very satisfied with the outcome.
Excellent care. Information and detail to the plan for surgery was the best.
Great people very nice and work with you to find the problem
I have been a patient of Dr. Gilmore's for several years. I did not see him for about 3 years and when I returned he AND his staff (that had been with him in Marianna) remembered me. That is VERY uncommon. Dr. G. and his staff have always been courteous, kind, patient and friendly. I would, and have, recommend him in a heartbeat.
Had bad trigger finger in 3 fingers and he fixed them all with no problems. Its been well over a month and fingers a working fine. Did very small incision when he operated so healing time was quick. Staff at his office and in the surgery center were all very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend him to others.
Dr. Gilmore was able to salvage the end of my severed finger through grafts and a 2-hour surgery. Instead of a disfigured end, my fingertip and fingernail has amazingly grown back to a relatively normal appearance, although a little shorter now. He performed a minimally invasive surgery on me in the past with excellent results. So, while I was in the ER after this latest injury, I insisted that I would like Dr. Gilmore to handle this case instead of another ortho surgeon because I trust his expertise. I am extremely thankful that he obliged. The surgical center and staff where I went for the procedure in Pensacola were excellent - called Cornerstone Surgicare. They really took care of me there. Very pleased. Follow-ups have been great. He has really spent time with me making sure the healing process was going smoothly.
Will be driving to Panama City in the future for my athletic daughter. Worth the drive because he seemed to understand her injuries better than most orthopedics. Spent extra time with her to explain her limitations. Been to Birmingham and Dothan but will be changing to Dr. Gilmore.
Dr. Gilmore fixed what others couldn't. He is wonderful.
Excellent doctor. Diagnosed my back problem when other docs and chiros did not. Much better now with no surgery required. Highly recommend him.
Great doctor. Makes it a point to look at all treatment options instead of surgery, leaving that as a last resort to alleviate the problem. He is all about getting the patient back to normal without having to go under the knife. His expertise allowed me to recover without surgery. Follow ups were very good. He paid attention to my questions and concerns and made sure that I was feeling good and had my normal mobility back.
I didn't even get to see Gilmore in any of my 3 visits. Saw his PA who didn't know anything. He overcharged my insurance tremendously. Charged me $800 for physical therapy and when I complained that I did not get any physical therapy, they said " Oh that was for buddy taping your toe - that is how the insurance requires use to bill it". $800 to put a piece of tape on my toe? Another $800 for a Walking boot that retails for $49. No wonder our medical system is screwed up. Never again!
stay away from this guy , he dose sorry work , he will use up your Insurance money , and he'll put out on the street , and act like he don't know you
Dr. Gilmore was able to give back most of the functioning of my wrist and I am satisfied. My problem is I have written 2 emails with questions, to the staff and NO ONE answered me. I will consider going back to him but the office staff is NOT very professional in answering their mail. He gave me back something I could of lost if it wasn't for the surgery. Have a good and blessed day sir.
he believes in getting the patient back into the flow of life, with as much mobility as possible.
Very good time to get in to see Dr. Gilmore. Initially, I felt he was very thorough. However, over time, it seemed like he didn't keep notes on me. He insisted the cause of pain stemmed from another area. After MRI, x-ray, and two nerve tests, he said there was nothing wrong with this area and said he could do nothing for me, despite having another course of action initially for that area, which he didn't explain why he'd changed his mind. I asked him again about my area of complaint and he seemed to have forgotten why I was there in the first place. Every visit he asked the same questions, with the same answers. Billing was poor with the office overcharging me then refusing to admit they had been paid, and then after evidence that the insurance had paid, they would not refund my money until demonstrated the ridiculousness of their policy - this is their billing company, not the actual office. However, follow up was very poor from the office. Three times I've had to chase for follow up appointments. It's been over a month and I'm still waiting, again, for a follow up with another specialist.Again, it's like they don't keep patient notes. He seems to pride himself on "critical thinking" but I suspect he's more of a fit-inside-the-box kind of diagnostician. He is likely an excellent physician for typical conditions. A very nice man who does not make rash decisions and has a systematic approach.I would recommend Dr. Gilmore if you have a common problem. Be prepared to have to chase down the office staff. Prepare a note to put in his file.
This was a second opinion for my knee which I had been seeing an orthopedic office in Ft Walton. When I walked into the lobby I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The lobby was crowded with all ages. The paperwork was a little overwhelming by the amount of pages that needed to be filled out. Once I was called back, the experience was one of the best I've ever experienced at a MD appointment. Though there are many personality differences between patient's and office staff, I was so impressed. The nursing staff made me and my husband feel like part of the "family." Though we waited 20-25 minutes in our room (which was furnished with a TV and made the time go by fater), Dr Gilmore performed a thorough exam and sat in the room till I had all my questions answered. I left the office knowing everything I needed about my knee. I was very happy with my visit. My family will continue to use Panhandle Orthopaedics. Thanks DR GILMORE!!
His office has billed me for a wrist orthodic in excess of $1400. It was an off the shelf purchased locally for $14.92. extensive testing without any reason, just to use up my available benefits under pip. My attorney sent me to him
