We saw Dr G after my 6 year old was diagnosed with scoliosis. He prescribed her a brace and ordered an MRI “just to make sure something isn’t causing her scoliosis- but if there was, I would have felt it on her exam”. Dr G never suggested sedation for her MRI and at 6 years old, her MRI experience shook her so fully she had anxiety attacks for months following. Her MRI revealed she did in fact have neuromuscular findings that likely was causing her scoliosis. Dr G’s Assistant “Joe” called me after the MRI and left a VM telling me my daughter needed to be seen by neurosurgery due to a finding on her MRI and then proceeded to be unavailable for 36 hours. I never got contacted by Dr G about what this meant for my daughter. I called Dr G and asked to discuss how this new finding would impact her scoliosis or bracing plan and again “Joe” called me back and said as her syrinx was small, he didn’t think it was causing her scoliosis and said neurosurgery was not recommended when in fact… it WAS recommended and already booked by the surgeon HE referred me to...! Dr G was absent in us understanding this very scary situation and his assistant was horrible as a stand in given he repeatedly made inaccurate claims about my daughter’s case. We switched orthos early on, but I’m still so shook by the awful experience we had with him as we navigated a scary and uncertain situation literally without any guidance or response from Dr G.

Michael Glotzbecker treated my child in Boston and I regret allowing it to occur for over 1 year before changing specialists. His demeanor is aloof and he missed at least one critical issue with my child which was immediately noticed and addressed by the specialist we chose to replace Dr. Glotzbecker. Find a different doctor if your child has spinal issues.

My son meet with Dr. Glotzbecker at age 11 months and was diagnosed with infantile scoliosis. Dr. Glotzbecker recommended serial castings and with one year of casting and one year of back brace my sons back is completely straight with a zero percent curvature. He cured my son of a life time of pain and disfigurement. He is an excellent Dr we still go for yearly check ups.

I first starting seeing Dr. Glotzbecker when I was about 14. I was diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis in the thoracic region. I wore a brace however my scoliosis was far too severe, and I was told I needed surgery. I have been seeing Dr. Glotzbecker for 5 years now (I am now 19) and he is absolutely amazing. He performed my surgery last summer and I have had no problems with my back since. Before the surgery, I had terrible confidence because of the disfigurement with my back. Dr glotzbecker not only did an astounding job fixing this, but he made me feel so comfortable along the way. He walked me through every step of the surgery, told me what exactly to prepare for, and was very comforting. He is an amazing children's doctor and I would recommend him to anybody. Truly incredible doctor who makes his patients feel at ease.

Dr Glotzbecker was excellent. He diagnosed my sons knee accurately and was available to us after. He responded to any concerns. My sons doing great

Dr. Glotzbecker did not listen to my daughter and jumped to conclusions regarding her injury. He never called with the results of my daughter's MRI.

We have see this doctor twice for somewhat unrelated issues. In both instances he was dismissive of our concerns and failed to provide any explanation of what was going on with my child. He brushed everything off and left us with no answers and no resolution to the pain my child continued to experience.
