Dr. Mohamed Asem Tantawi, MD

Dr. Mo is an absolutely outstanding pediatrician. I have been bringing my children who are now in high school since they were infants. Dr. Mo has been there for us every step of the way through each and every stage. His greatest assets are that he cares and he listens. His bedside manner is incredible. He genuinely wants to help and takes time out of his busy schedule to ensure that we receive the best care. Even though he is the best, he has always been so kind and humble. We are so lucky to have him in our lives and feel like he one of the family.

Dr. Tantawi is arrogant and condescending. When challenged, he lacks the basic ability to listen. This is an essential skill for any physician. He instead talks over the parent and vehemently shares his testimony as to how he is genuine, honest, and became a pediatrician for these very reasons. He is reactive instead of proactive, and consequently the practice is inefficient at best.

We have known Hackensack Pediatrics since before my eldest child was born. We met Dr. Mo at a Lamaze class at the hospital and were so impressed with his depth of knowledge but also how he listened with compassion and concern. We have been a part of Hackensack Pediatrics for 12 + years. We have a 12.5 year old typical boy and a 9 year old boy with autism. We couldn't be more grateful for the level of care we receive, their patience, understanding and gentle approach. Dr. Mo takes time to address our concerns and questions and always provides helpful guidance that has carried us through very challenging times. He is encouraging and kind hearted. Truly we can't imagine a better doctor for our boys.and he celebrates every milestone with us and truly feels like a part of our family. I would also like to mention his extremely competent nurses and office staff. In all this time we have literally had not one billing/insurance issue. Finally, the nurses such as Stacy are extremely… knowledgeable and have been so supportive and caring. They are truly interested in helping and understanding their patients.

Hello, my name is Khalid Isahak and I am 17 years old. After going to Hackensack Pediatrics for about a year, the one thing that always catches my attention is Dr. Mo's smile the moment he walks into the room. Whether I'm having a good or bad day, Dr. Mo will always bring positive vibes. Though I have only been with Dr. Mo for a year, he's always treated me as if I was his own child, and has been a large influence of my future career choice of being in the medical field. To me, he's always felt like much more than a pediatrician. He doesn't just make sure I'm physically healthy, or prescribes an antibiotic when I'm sick, he asks how my day was, or how school's going. In other words, he genuinely cares about his patients on a level far above medical, which is exactly what you want in any doctor. Thank you Dr. Mo.

You can't go wrong with Dr. Mo! He is a stellar doctor and is a phenomenal diagnostic doctor. He is skilled and professional and takes his time during examinations to explain everything in a clear and concise manner. In addition, his office provides same day appointments when your child is sick which is a huge lifesaver. I don't live near Hackensack, but I refuse to take my children anywhere else because of the care my children receive. He is truly the best!

I am constantly impressed with his classy manners and punctuality. I never waited more than 2-3 minutes in the waitng room. He is very smart, knowledgeable, and confident; at the same time, humble and unassuming. Unlike many other doctors, he is an excellent communicator. He never looks down on me, or never laughs at my internet-knowledge. As a doctor and as a human being, he is JUST wonderful.

Doctor Mo is incredible! extremely efficient (punctual too) and pleasant to see. He has an elegant high class mannerism.

Dr.Mo is truly excellent! He is phenomenal. However, my only concern is: too often, I was being observed by interns (I am not even sure if they are medical students. Some are high school students, some look college kids). I am not always comfortable being observed. Of course I was asked if being observed is ok, but it is hard to say no to their face. Other than that, I am very happy with Dr. Mo.

Simply the best. There is nothing else to say. So grateful to have him as our Pediatrician.

I love Dr. Mo. It is a blessing to have him as our doctor. All of my children love him. And this year he won Top Doctor NJ. Well deserved!
