Dr. Mohan Charran Deochand, MD

I had a stroke and he says the MRI did not show a stroke and that I needed to see a Shrink and also I may have MS a misdiagnosed. I am going to Duke to someone who knows what they are doing. He is loud and not confidential at all.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Worst bedside manner and clinic smelled horrible. My probem was not fixed

I was referred to Dr. Deochand several years ago to Treat and Followup on my Essential Tremors. Like the other reviews said, his office was Sketchy at best, at the time this office was in a different location so I can't speak of his current practice. When I went to him, he had an old Hospital Bed, that looked like it was in His Office, I was very Creeped out. Nothing appeared Clean, especially the bed. Bed had Wrinkled Linens, and only covered by Paper. He then proceeded to do vitals and the exam. During the exam he basically said my Essential Tremors where from Alcohol Withdrawl. He asked me literally about 6-7 times about my Alcohol Intake, which at the time was NONE, except when I did communion at church, to which he ask "When was your last communion". Only other thing he did was a Test, that I Was billed for about a year later TOTALING about $850. I do not recommend him for Anything.

I was suffering with the WORST migraines ever and my life was a misery to say the least, Dr Deochand made sure that he covered all his bases but requesting numerous different tests in order to rule other more serious conditions out, he also found out that I had another condition that I had no idea about, he worked with me to come up with a treatment plan that would work for me, my migraines have gone from being a daily occurrence to once every 2 or 3 months, this is a huge improvement, I feel like I have my life back thanks to Dr Deochand. The ladies who work in the office are amazing also, Pam and Sue are the two I usually work with, they are very professional and get the job done, all I have to do is call and they take care of my needs, Pam is awesome and very knowledgeable when it comes to insurance and how to file certain prescriptions, she takes great care of me. Really I can't say enough good things about Dr Deochand and his staff, they are the best and I would recommend them… to anyone!!!!!!

Dr Deochand is the consumate professional and responsive to patient concerns. Renders detailed and superior care; explains diagnosis, tests, and treatment plans. Highly recommend.

Office is run-down...however, that would not really matter if the quality of service and care was good. he is very loud...don't go here if you don't want your personal medical issues known. I know everything about the patient in the next room because you could hear him talking through the crack in the walls! It is bad when you have to tell the neurologist what types of tests you think should be run when he asks what I think he should done! Told him he was the neurologist...I am an animal scientist! STAY FAR AWAY from this quack!

The worst doctor I have ever had to deal with. My mother had a stroke and he didn't show up in the hospital until 8pm the following day (the one and only time he came in for 10 minutes). The attending doctor in the hospital cared for her and was suppose to consult on the MRI (and other test) results with Dr. Deochand. After her release we followed up in his ratty, run-down office with bars on the door and furniture that looks like it came from the dump- very unprofessional. He gives me a diagnosis of a migraine. When I point out that the doctor in the hospital said the MRI showed a stroke, he got up and went to his office to actually read the MRI. I could not believe he had not even looked at her test results and had the gall to give me a diagnosis of a migraine. Obviously he was not very observant of her. In my opinion, he showed no caring or compassion for his patient. His office staff is rude and it took 3 calls over 2 days to get them to refill her perscription.

This doctor really knows what he is talking about! he's well educated and helped me. He communicates well and I would recommend him. The staff was polite and it was well worth the wait. DONT LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE!. Theyre obvious looking for flaws. =) definitely go to this physician! This is coming from someone who went to several doctors before and found my one main doctor with Dr. Deochand.

Dr. Deochand had an old broken down hospital bed for an examination. There were questionable looking characters coming in and out of the office going behind the receptionist desk, etc.I did not feel comfortable lying in a hospital bed for an exam. I felt the clinic was not clean and it did not feel sanitary. I would not go back.
