Dr. Mylene Villafuerte Matti

I had my shoulder surgery in an outpatient surgery center in the San Francisco Bay Area and Dr. Matti was my anesthesiologist. She was very kind and quite detailed in explaining to me the anesthetic options and I am just so glad I chose to have a nerve block. It kept me pain-free for two solid days and my recovery was a lot smoother. But what has impacted me long-term is the time that she spent discussing the basics of nutrition, the role of our immune system in our health and wellness. I started to look up everything she told me after my surgery and now I am a brand new person, living out the health and wellness message I learned from her. It was the first time I ever wrote a health care facility to thank them for the quality of their staff in Dr. Matti. I sent her a personal card too--and she wrote me back in gracious acknowledgment! Thank you sooooo much!

During this very fragile time, I am very grateful to have been under the care of Dr. Matti. She is not only thorough but also very caring in her ways. Thank you very much.
