2017- Dr. Neela Patel pediatrician at St. James in Olympia Fields referred me to a cardiologist at Advocate In Oak Lawn at Christ hospital for my daughter. We're thankful there was nothing wrong. However, Dr. Neela Patel or her office neglected to accurately submit the proper paperwork to my insurance. Although I submitted the referral to advocate during the visit I was sent to collections for $291.00 which is now on my credit. When I spoke with Aetna they advised that my daughter's doctor, Neela Patel did not submit information for the referral. I kept a copy of the paper referral with her name on it. While attempting to resolve the matter I submitted that copy along with a letter to her office. I don't understand why she sent me to another hospital for a cardiologist when Franciscan has cardiologist on staff. I am not happy about this. I had to pay that $291.00 . Also, when trying to resolve this issue I kept getting the run-around. Horrible service!!

I was very upset with her because did not have any respect for her patients. I will be getting a new doctor..

We've used Dr. Patel since our oldest was born (going on 6 years). She has always been courteous, offers great advice, and listens to our concerns. She never rushes us out of the room to go to the next patient, which I love. Very happy to have found Dr. Patel.

She is an awesome Pediatrician. My daughter loves her. Excellent bedside manner.

I had a wonderul doctor for my children and she retired. A new dr came in and I was not impressed. I swicthed to dr. patel and i could not be happier, her and the staff, her nurse Kathy are AMAZING!!!!!! I am very pleased so glad to have found her.

My wife and I had another pediatrician picked out but Dr. Patel was the Doctor who did my son's hospital check out. We were so impressed with her that we changed pediatricians and are very glad that we did. Getting an appointment is very easy and the staff are friendly and helpful. Dr. Patel is very knowledgable and is great with our son. We have recommended her to all of our family and friends who have pediatric needs.
