Dr. Patrick Sean Sullivan, MD

The BEST colorectal surgeon in Atlanta. My wife had been experiencing frequent obstructions from a bowel surgery done 10 years ago. We have consulted with Dr. Sullivan, and he did a very thorough analysis on her case, and identified the exact problem. Given the young age of my wife, I was very worried having her a stoma. Dr. Sullivan was very patient to listen to our concerns, and did all necessary tests and consultations prior to the surgery. He has carefully explained the best case and the worst case scenarios prior to the surgery. He also have taken the right decision to combine a much needed hernia repair for her, and involved Dr. Scott Davis for the same and completed both colorectal surgery and the hernia repair at the same time. The Surgery was very successful, and Dr. Sullivan could address the problem, without needing to have a stoma. We were, in fact, planning to go to Minnesota or Maryland for the surgery and glad that we found the expertise here in Atlanta itself. Also the… care and the facilities at Emory University Hospital has been amazing. I waited weeks for an appointment and when I showed up, checked in, paid my money and waited nearly an hour, I was told Dr Sullivan decided to go to a meeting and won’t be in. However, I could see a nurse practitioner instead or wait another few hours for when he’d arrive. I explained I was newly just out from given birth and had a newborn at home so I could wait for hours more. While his nurse was as helpful as lovely as can be, the business manager was incredibly dismissive and beyond rude. The nurse called the Dr to see if anything could be done and he decided his meeting was too important and just didn’t want to reschedule. To add insult to injury, when I tried to reschedule, they could not accommodate a make-up appointment in the coming days. So, I still have urgent medical symptoms and will be waiting weeks again to see another Dr. There is clearly no consideration for patient care by this Dr or his back office.

Dr. Sullivan is a great physician and surgeon. He performed surgery on me recently, and I am totally satisfied with the results. His explanations were clear, his statements about what I should expect were on point, and I found him to be an excellent listener.

Dr. Sullivan performed a colostomy on my mother and it is healed and in excellent. I feel like Dr. Sullivan genuinely cares about his patients and makes sure he spends as much time as needed to ensure all of your questions are answered. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and I'm extremely happy he was chosen to take care of my mother. Thank you !

I COULD NOT HAVE HAD OR WISH FOR A BETTER DOCTOR THAN DR. PATRICK S. SULLIVAN WHOM PREFORMED SURGERY ON MY RIGHT COLON TO REMOVE A LARGE POLYP THAT COULD NOT BE REMOVE WITH THE SCOPE ,BECAUSE OF IT LOCATION. DR. PATRICK S. SULLIVAN AT EMORY IN ATLANTA AND DECATUR GA. HE PERFORM A WELL SUCESSFUL AND HEALTHY SURGERY ON 11/26/2013 A FEW HOUR OF REST I WAS WALKING, TALKING AND FEELING LIKE MY OLD SELF AGAIN I FELT GOOD ENOUGH TO GO HOME, SO WHEN DR. SULLIVAN CAME AROUND HE KNEW THAT THE SURGERY AND RECOVERY WENT WELL AND REQUIRED LESS HOSPITAL STAY AND RECOVERY TIME SO HE RELEASE ME ON 11/28/2013 WHICH WAS THANKGIVING DAY I DID NOT HAVE MUCH PAIN AT ALL AND DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAVE TO TAKE ALL THE PAIN MEDICATION THAT HE PRESCRIBED FOR ME AFTER I GOT HOME I DO NOT REGRET HAVING THE SURGERY AT ALL AND WOULD DO IT ALL OVER IF NEEDED, THANK GOD FOR DR. SULLIVAN FOR A SUCESSFUL AND HEALTHY SURGERY AND FOR HELPING SAVE MY LIFE ALSO HAD MY FOLLOW UP AND HE FOUND NO CANCER. PEOPLE PLEASE… GET A COLON CHECK, IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE TOO, I HAD NO SYMPTOM AT ALL!! THANK GOD AGAIN DR.SULLIVAN

DOCTOR SULLIVAN IS A TRUE DOCTOR HE TOLD ME HE WANTED ME TO EXERCISE 3 TIMES A WEEK AND MY SURGERY WOULD BE A GREAT COLON SURGERY I DID EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID ,MY SURGERY IS 10 DAYS OLD I FILL GREAT I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYBODY FOR THE COLON HE TOOK CARE OF ME AND MADE THE BEST CHOICE FOR ME I DONT REGRET HAVING THE SURGERY AND THANK GOD FOR HIM AND HIS STAFF CAN'T BE BEAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
