Dr. Paul E. Levin, MD

Dr. Levin called the nursing home facility where I'm working regarding my resident that he's being seen that day. This resident is scheduled for ortho consult with him which was scheduled from the hospital and was included in her hospital discharge instructions upon admitting to our facility. I explained to him that our facility is just following what was on the discharge instructions that's why this resident was sent to that appointment. Dr. Levin started raising his voice on me saying this resident doesn't have an ortho diagnosis and I'm "violating" something for sending a resident to an ortho consult without an ortho diagnosis. I told him that this resident has a diagnosis of closed fracture of surgical neck and humerus. He finally realized that this resident is there for a reason. This doctor is VERY RUDE and did not even apologize for his behavior. I've talked to a lot of doctors over the phone and HE'S BEHAVIOR IS ONE OF THE WORST.

Dr Levin is very opinionated when it comes to diagnosing a patient. Dr Levin seem to ask too many questions that have nothing to do with my visit, so, that is personal. This doctor is making his money like others, and does not care what or how or what he says to patients - yes a second opinion in another facility is a better option for me, a fresh outlook . He needs to retire soon.

If you are looking for an orthopedic doctor, Dr. Paul Levin is not the answer for you. In the last seven years I have seen many doctors and he has to be one of the most incompetent physicians I have come across. Seven years ago I came down with pancreatitis with a massive sudo cyst caused by a blood pressure pill that I had taken for five years, called lisinopril hctz. I have almost died from this condition many times in the last seven years. Last year alone I had 35 blood transfusions. Im mentioning this because I want you to keep this in the back of your head for now; I went to Dr Levin for my knee that I injured in a fall. Over the years I have been diagnosed with severe arthritis to my neck on both sides, my shoulders, my spine, the middle of my back, and both hips, and a fracture in my fifth vertebrate. I have five buldging disks, herniated disks, and degenerative disks, all from sports, car accidents and hard labor. I have had surgery in the same knee that I just hurt, that was… 25 years ago, it was fine until now. I waited two and a half months to see this fool. I know whats wrong with my knee I went through the same exact condition, I have a tear. He takes an x-ray tells me I have no arthritis, which is good, but an x-ray does not show a tear. What he said to me was I need to speed walk until your heart is pounding, for five days a week, 1 hour a day. But your heart has to be pounding to get results. Do this for three months if you still have a knee problem come back and Ill give you a cortisone shot. Heres where it gets even more pathetic. He said, if you speed walk like I said and your heart has to be pounding you will cure the problems of arthritis in your neck, shoulders, spine, middle and lower back, the problem with my knee, and my pancreatitis. Pancreatitis! What an asinine statement to make, I cant believe he has a license to practice. He must of graduated from clown college because he is a joke. The next thing I was waiting to hear from him was that and if you speed walk it will cure cancer. He also said to wear nothing at all to protect my knee, so Im just supposed to beat on it five days a week for three months, what a genius. I guess if I came in with a shoulder injury he would tell me to throw a baseball as hard as I can for one hour a day, five days a week, for three months. So beware of this so called doctor, youre in for a big let down. He will cause more damage to your body if you decide to take his advice.
