I am a 22 year old female and I was diagnosed with melanoma a couple of weeks ago. My dermatologist referred me to the hunstman cancer center and Dr. Andtbacka was my doctor. Not only was he completely knowledgable about my condition, he has the best bedside manner of ANY doctor I have been to. He was so assuring and calm and he made me feel completely confident in my treatment and surgery. If anyone ever gets diagnosed when skin cancer, please go see Dr. Andtbacka.

Dr Andtbacka treated my husband for Melanoma. We had been told that my husband had less than 5 years to live. Dr Andtbacka looked at my husbands case - stuck to the facts that he had, didn't speculate and answered each of the questions I had (and I had a notebook full of them). He was personable, he seemed to really care about how we were doing, what he could do to ease our concerns and gave me information that helped me learn about Melanoma that was current (not 30 years old). His office staff (including his nurse - Maryanne) were so nice to us, kept their promises to follow up and answer our questions and made us feel at ease in a time that we never thought we would feel at ease. I wish he lived in Idaho where we live and that he practiced general medicine - because everyone deserves a Dr like him. Thank Goodness for Dr Andtbacka and Maryanne - and Huntsmans!
