Dr. Ronald Joseph Ellis, MD, PhD

If I could give no star I would!! Do not go to this clinic.... you are just a number! Dr. Ellis is lazy and depends on clerical and interns to do his work. He was very unprofessional and yelled at me due to his office not communicating with me. If you actually want a true MD and not a student or intern to be your doctor stay away from UC San Diego.

Was under his care for about 7 years for Idiopathic progressive polyneuropathy, Radicular syndrome of lower limbs and Epilepsy/Seizures I have had since 1996 . He was OK at first, but only spent about 5-6 min on EVERY appointment. After years of mediocre appointments, I had a couple issues I needed his help with. One medical and another was for help I needed with a program that HE needed to fill the paperwork out for. This was the first time I reached out to him in years. At first there was no response to my messages. Then, I called his office and he refused to speak with me and or make an appointment so I could address my concerns, which he NEVER responded to!!! I reached out for help, complained. It just made things worse! Was told by one of his colleagues (another doctor) and one of his staff members that he has never been easy to deal with and often rubs people the wrong way and pushes things off. The God/Doctor complex is waht I was told. Complaining has only made things worse.… I would have changed sooner, but I was told he was a good doctor. After he did not respond to my 3 calls and 2 messages through UCSD's messaging system, I changed doctors. Would not recommend him to an enemy.
