Dr. Steven Chudik, MD

I saw Dr. Chudik for a second opinion. I had a lot of pain in my shoulder with no strength or flexibility. He explained I had a frozen shoulder which was different than my first diagnosis. The exercises he gave me to stretch my shoulder helped me from day 1! Just 2 months later my shoulder is back to normal. No pain, with regained strength and flexibility. I am very grateful for his expertise and professionalism. His staff was friendly as well and I would highly recommend Dr. Chudik!

I had rotator cuff surgery with Dr. Chudik and am very pleased with the results even over a year later! Dr Chudik is a very talented surgeon. He has a genuine care for his patients. He's very thorough and takes the time to communicate everything so there are no questions. I feel so lucky to have found him! I had 2 torn tendons in my shoulder and a ruptured bicep.. He repaired me arthroscopically, and I have made a full recovery and I am on my way back to what I love doing.. Triathlon. Thank you Doctor for Everything!!

This doctor ordered x-rays that were not medically necessary and were not covered by insurance then held me responsible for payment over a year later. Diagnosed me with a slight meniscus tear and told me to "stay away from walking". Don't waste your time, go to Northwestern or Rush Ortho., it may be a bit farther but is well worth it!

I've been to Dr. Chudik twice. The first time, they put me in the exam room, I waited 45 minutes and was asked if his PA could handle my case. He was too busy. The second time, I waited 45 minutes. He looked at my X-rays, declared I needed a knee replacement and was walking out when I asked why my knee was locking. He replied you need an MRI. He started walking out again. I asked if I could get a shot. He didn't have the time of day for regular knee. pain. From the articles he has published, he seems to be educated, but has no bedside manner.

Dr. Chudik was my second opinion. The first orthro I saw tried PT and then a cortisone shot and when that didn't relieve the pain or build strength, he did an MRI showing I had a complete tear and recommended at my age - 63, I shouldn't do anything, just live with it, which meant, no more golf or anything overhead. Basically it hurt to lift a glass to an upper kitchen cabinet. I found Dr. Chudik after a reading a number of online reviews and made an appointment. He reviewed my MRI, felt I was a good candidate for surgery, however needed to get it done, since I had been dealing with this for 8months and he felt, the longer I waited the less chance of full recovery. I had surgery first of Sept 2016 and was basically immobilize for 6 wks with PT just making sure I did not develop frozen shoulder. Dr. Chudik, laid out the entire rehab process, so I knew how long it would take. I can now say, I am painfree, building strength back into my shoulder and looking forward to some great rounds of… golf. I would recommend Dr. Chudik to anyone..

Would never recommend. Did a surgery that shouldn't have been done. Damaged irreversibly. 5 docs have said it should have never been done. Knife and pocket book happy. Day of made up that he needed to check my knee, though that was not the issue, charged insurance for 2 surgeries! My fault for not getting second opinion, but don't go to him!

Dr. Chudik agreed to see me when workers comp had abondoned me. He had the utmost patience with a frustrating shoulder impingement syndrome case following a contested injury on the job. He treated me conservatively knowing I'd already endured a previous work injury and subsequent SLAP repair a couple years prior. I'm back to work now thanks to his conservative treatment, injections, and physical therapy. Thank you, Dr. Chudik

Dr. Chudik is amazing. He did surgery on both of my knees for maniacal tears. He repaired them and all was well.
