Dr. Mary Ellen Argus

Been going to Mary Argus for care for years. So has my whole family. Very good skills and is concerned with patient first.

After my fillings were done i was in pain for 2 weeks, has to go back and they fix it but after few months still hurts... plus they send me a bill saying my account is past due plus they charging me a fee because they said my account is past due, a balance that they never mentioned before. The lied to my face that my insurance will cover 80% of the painful filligs i get.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Argus for years. Her staff are also amazing and caring.

My kids love this office. Friendly and caring staff.

Really good, skilled dentist. Takes conservative approach to dental health - doesn't recommend doing more than necessary, and attempts to preserve and work with existing teeth as much as possible. Highly recommended.

Be careful who you get doing the actual work, like fillings and light drilling. My family has a couple different issues that were caused by neglecting a job because the technician either wanted to go on her lunch break or made a major error. Two occasions that were unrelated both left severe tooth and nerve pains lasting roughly a month. It would be insane to allow that to happen again. Also getting a bill 8 months after an appointment is baffling but that is besides the main issue here.

Dr Argus has been the dentist for me and my three girls for over seven years. Our appointments are always prompt and professional. All of my girls have had great experiences with her, even my antsy and sometimes uncooperative youngest. She and her staff are extremely patient and friendly and I could not imagine seeing another dentist after my experience with her and her staff. I do not know how Dr Argus or her staff could EVER be construed as mean. All of my girls LOVE her and look forward to their appointments.

She is very unfriendly and not patient with children. My son had a bad experience with a previous dentist where he was restrained against his will, and we explained our concern to her. She said it was OK. but was not patient with him at all. In fact, she was downright mean. She was annoyed when he had reservations about letting her look in his mouth. She gave him one appointment and barked at us "If he will not sit still you will need to find another dentist". After ONE appointment, when obviously he had a fear issue. Not what we expected with all the pictures of young kids in her office. What a FAKE! We are looking for a new dentist for our entire family now.
