Dr. Michael Dale Turck

Welcome to the dental practice of Dr. Michael D. Turck, DDS.
Dr. Turck was born in northern Illinois and grew up in Indiana. He entered the Navy in 1973 as a dental assistant recruit. While serving in the Navy he attended Indiana University, earning a B.S. Degree in Biology, and Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1983. Dr. Turck continued serving in the Navy until January 2006, where he retired as a Captain with a total of 32 years of honorable service.
Significant Navy tours: USS Canopus (CSS-32), NAS Key West (where he met his wife Erline), Great Lakes, Okinawa with the Marines, National Naval Dental School, Bethesda (residency in Prosthodontics), USS Eisenhower (CVN 69), NDC Norfolk, Sheppard AFB, Texas (Officer in Charge and Director for the Dental Laboratory Technician Courses), NAB Boone Clinic Norfolk (Regional consultant for Cosmetic and Prosthetic Dentistry).
Professional and Clinical Accomplishments: Dr. Michael Turck has specialized training by the navy …in General Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, and completed a residency in the Cosmetic specialty of Prosthodontics. After three years of preparation he passed his Board Examination and is a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontics. He has taught dentistry to Navy doctors, at Baylor School of Dentistry, and is now an associate clinical professor at Virginia College of Dentistry. Since his retirement in 2006, Dr. Turck has continued to improve his skills at a General Dentistry Practice and places and restores implants, and is qualified with the Cerec Digitized System for making porcelain crowns in one day. 
The Doctor’s Family: Dr. Turck has been married to Erline since 1977. They have four children, Justine, Jeremy, Travis, and Kirsten. Justine is currently attending ODU, Jeremy is at James Madison, Travis will be attending James Madison along with his brother this fall and Kirsten will be attending Bayside Health Science Academy this fall. 
Memberships: American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, Virginia Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association, Seaboard Study Club, and Tidewater Study Club.

Our hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday with Emergency hours on call.
