Dr. Robert Dean Chavez, DDS

I am sure that Dr. Chavez is a competent endodontist but his knowledge of microbiology and infectious disease is not acceptable. He talked with me and did no physical exam. No vital signs were taken and he berated me for having a dental abscess of several years duration that had been treated only with antibiotics by the Wagner Dental Group here in Albuquerque,NM. I felt as though I were a specimen in a test tube and he was void of compassion.

Dr. Robert goes out of his way to help his patients I had a root canal scheduled and then something came up with my daughter school and he quickly rearrange his schedule to get me in sooner. dr. My procedure was super easy and painless and the doctor made me feel good every step of the way .

I had to get a root canal due to a crown I received back in college failing (20 years later) I must admit I was very nervous. my dentist refered me to Dr. Chavez and once I met him I instantly started feeling better! Dr. Chavez has amazing interpersonal skills: He is a true people person. I, like most people, do not enjoy going to the dentist. Dr. Chavez is personable and is someone who can put people like me at ease even with something as scary as a root canal. Most of Dr. C's workday is spent caring for his patients and he truly cares. In addition, Dr. Chavez works closely with his office staff including assistants to make sure everyone on the team makes patients like me feel special, safe and comfortable. My procedure was painless, not stressful and Dr. Chavez made sure I felt at ease and answered all my questions.

no patient likes to be ignored when in the chair, especially so the doctor can chat up the help. Displeasure is then compounded when a minor insurance paperwork problem can't be solved by the staff, but can by with a small amount of effort and twenty minutes on the phone by the patient. Pointing this out only got my ostrasized by the staff, and even less help.....Do not expect anything but the services on the date of. do not expect anything from the staff that might make you feel as though your time or money matters to them. But you can expect a condescending doctor ( chavez), to bad mouth any other dental work outside their network to scare you into only dealing with their people. A clean environment is not enough to make up for the awful experience I had with co/west/endo. beware.
