Dr. Funk was born in Royersford and graduated from Spring-Ford High School. He went to Juniata College for his B.S. and earned his dental degree at Temple Dental in 1985.
He returned to Royersford where he worked with his father Richard Blair Funk for 6 years until his father paseed away. He remains in the same office his father started some 50 years ago.
He has developed the practice from a one dentist—no assistant—no hygienist to a modern, fully staffed office. Dr. Funk feels the experience of starting out the basic way made him appreciate his staff and all the modern conveniences he has now, and it also has enabled him to deal with the many situations that can arise and be
able to use the experiences of his past to see different ways of treating problems.
