Dr. Samuel G Papandreas

Dr. Papandreas is a native of Cleveland. Born in Lyndhurst, the middle of five children, his parents moved to Lakewood where he attended Lakewood High School.
Upon graduation Dr. Papandreas headed to the University Of Illinois School Of Engineering, ranked consistently as one of the top programs in the country. There he earned a combined degree representing the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering, consistently. During his time there, he was presented with the James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Award for Outstanding Achievement in Academic Engineering Research, awarded membership in the Gamma Epsilon Engineering Honors Fraternity and the Engineering Dean's List.
With a hope of blending a technical background and healthcare, Dr. Papandreas headed to Loyola University School of Dentistry, known as a leader nationally in clinical dentistry. Dr. Papandreas graduated ranked #1 academically in his dental class for 4 consecutive years. In addition to the honor of Summa Cum …Laude, he was awarded the Frank M. Amaturo Award for Highest GPA - Omicron Kappa Upsilon Fraternity, the Department of Dental Materials Scholastic Award, the Chicago Auxiliary Dental Society Scholarship Award for Highest Academic Achievement, and the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society Award for Academic Excellence.
A specialty degree in orthodontics at Baylor University in Dallas became the obvious union of engineering and dental backgrounds. Specialty Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics requires the pursuit of excellence not only in the human sciences, but in the mechanical sciences as well. Engineering at Illinois brought the necessary background in material sciences, force systems, and dynamics to create new and exciting approaches within orthodontics. Dr. Papandreas chose to pursue his Specialty Degree in Orthodontics and Masters of Science at Baylor due to its reputation as one of the top orthodontic programs not only nationally but internationally.
Dr. Papandreas is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Cleveland Dental Society, and Ohio Dental Association and Schulman Study Group of top orthodontic practices nationally. Dr. Papandreas is the Founder of the Ohio Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy formed with a Mission to constantly improve the level of complete patient care throughout the professional community with advanced learning, shared knowledge, and interdisciplinary therapy.
North Royalton and the surrounding southwest suburbs was the first and only choice for raising a family and locating Papandreas Orthodontics. Dr. Papandreas resides in Strongsville with his wife, 2 daughters and son, and enjoys participating with and giving back to his community. Dr. Papandreas is founder of northeast Ohio’s Smile for a Lifetime foundation which gives disadvantaged children an opportunity for free orthodontic care. Dr. Papandreas most enjoys spending time with his kids, which gives him a great perspective with yours…he is often heard proclaiming his kids are perfect too (with a wink of an eye)!
