Meet Dr. Slade Wallace Lail, D.D.S.
For more than a decade, Dr. Slade Lail has been practicing dentistry in Duluth, Ga. He started his career by obtaining an associates degree from Young Harris College and a bachelors of science in biology from the University of Georgia. He then attended the University of Tennessee at Memphis where he earned his Doctorate of Dentistry; in 1997 he began his practice. Since the day he opened, Dr. Lail has been dedicated to serving the community, whether in-office or through community involvement. Not only does Dr. Lail work in Duluth, he also lives there with his three children: Carson, Garrett and Sidney. He exemplifies his strong commitment to his community through his involvement throughout the area. He has served as president of the Gwinnett Rotary Club and as a member of the City of Duluth Alcohol Review Board. Dr. Lail has been named numerous times in Atlanta Magazine’s “Best Dentist†category and was recently voted “Best Dentist†in …Gwinnett Magazine’s 2010 Best of Gwinnett issue. Dr. Lail has a strong passion for the outdoors and spends much of his free time at his property in Hancock County, Georgia. His investment in the environment has been recognized throughout the state as his property was named Tree Farm of the Year in 2007 and won the 2008 Forest Stewardship Award. Dr. Lail himself was also named the 2007 Hancock County Conservationalist of the Year.Â
Alice Findley, Dental Hygienist:
Alice has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Dental Hygiene and has worked as a hygienist since 1995. She joined Dr. Lail six years ago and thrives on making her patients so pleased with their experience that they want to come back and see her again. In her free time, Alice likes traveling, trying new restaurants, being spontaneous and going to movies.
Rita Westbrook, Dental Hygienist:
For Rita, the best part of her job is by far her patients. She greatly enjoys meeting and getting to know each and every one of them on a personal level. A Duluth native, Rita graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene and has been a hygienist for 34 years, working with Dr. Lail for the past three years. Her hobbies include baking, singing in her church’s choir and volunteering throughout the city at various events.
Debi Langan, Front Desk Manager:
Debi has managed Dr. Lail’s office for the past four-and-a-half years and has a 15-year background in the dental field. Her favorite aspect of her job is changing how people feel about going to the dentist and helping them overcome their financial obstacles in order to reach their optimum dental health. A Dacula resident, Debi and her husband Mike are the proud parents of two children as well as a stepdaughter and granddaughter.
Angela Dooley, Dental Assistant:
Angela has worked in the dental field for a total of 6 years and has worked with Dr. Lail for the past 3. She attended New Mexico State University where she studied Criminal Justice but her heart is in dental assisting. Angela strives to help patients overcome their dental fears and tries to make every visit as enjoyable as possible. A Statham native, Angela, who currently lives in Duluth, enjoys spending time with her two children as well as riding four-wheelers and hanging out with friends and family.

Nora has a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Dental Hygiene and has been a hygienist for 2 years. She has worked for Dr. Lail for over a year. A native of Flowery Branch, Nora takes pride in educating her patients about the importance of oral health. Nora will be getting married in September of 2011.
