Dr. Gerald M Winkler

Dr. Gerald M. Winkler is a third-generation dentist. He graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont and has been practicing dentistry since 1967. After two years of serving as a Dentist in the United States Navy and Marine Corps, he started a practice in the Furnace Brook Parkway Medical Building in Quincy, Massachusetts. In 1988, he relocated his dental practice to Stoughton.
Dr. Winkler believes that the training and education of dental personnel is paramount to excellence and superiority in the dental field. To foster this belief, he provides internships to train and certify dental assistants through the Massasoit Community College Dental Assistant Program. In addition, for five years he served as a post-graduate clinical professor in the Department of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry as well as mentor and adviser at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Winkler is a master of …complicated dental procedures and one of the three hundred and eight international accredited dentists of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. His superior craftsmanship reflects the status he has earned- all patients, not just celebrities, can benefit from his cosmetic enhancement techniques.
Dr. Winkler is passionate about treating patients with sleep apnea. He is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine which promotes research and the clinical use of oral appliances for the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders.
Dr. Winkler is a member of several professional organizations and societies including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the South Shore District Dental Society for which he currently serves as head of the Ethics Committee.
