Dr. Matilda Graham Agyemang, MD

Dr. Agyemang was absolutely horrible to me. She yelled at me, did not believe anything I said, and it felt like she had a preconceived opinion about me. I truly believe she had homophobic tendencies going into seeing me knowing that I was gay. She had terrible judgement and threw me into an inpatient program involuntarily in which I was immediately released due to not needing to be there. My psychiatrist was appalled at her judgment as well. She made my anxiety so much worse. She should not be practicing medicine or interacting with patients. Do not see her unless you want a terrible experience.

I felt such anxiety walking into my appointments with matilda. I do not feel as though this healthcare provider had my best interest. as a patient who was referred to dr. agyemang, I felt as though she already had a preconceived opinion of me as a patient. I felt as though she looked at me like a problem patient whenever I brought up medication to manage my ADHD. dr agyemang changed my antidepressant medication every time I would see her which was very confusing as a patient to keep up with the different instructions for each medication. I left her office in tears almost every time I would come in. for someone who manages mental health, i continue to suffer anxiety when seeing doctors because of my visits with dr. agyemang.

I saw dr. Agyemang today for the first time and will not be going back for a second appointment. I felt as though she did not believe anything i told her or like she didn’t listen to anything I said. She ultimately made me feel worse by the end of the appointment, leading to a panic attack in the parking lot after the appointment. I do not suggest seeing her, as she did not help with a single thing and instead suggested I stay on the medication that has been giving me severe nightmares.
