Dr. Meghan E. Mckiernan, MD

A nice clean small office with a very cheery doctor. I had a precancerous cells removed from my face.. it went very easy and smoothly with no visible signs.

Dr. McKiernan spent a lot of time with me asking about my medical history. She was very patient and allowed me to ask questions. I didn't feel rushed or felt that she was impatient with my questions. She recommended that "we error on the side of caution" and get my condition checked out further. The two other doctors that I have seen about my concern didn't see it as important enough to get it checked out further. When I read the other two reviews, it doesn't seem like we are talking about the same person!

I have seen Dr. McKiernan for three years. I find her consitently kind, considerate and through. She refers if nessary. She includes me in the treatment plan and is very respectful of my feelings. The relationship between a doctor and patient is critical to outcome. This doctor works for me.

Not a good office if you are sick, have problems. If you are healthy and need no doctoring , you should be good.

Incredibly rude and lacks any compassion. I would NOT recommend this doctor to ANYONE! I left the office empty handed and feeling absolutely discouraged. She was condescending, and at two points in our appointment she told me she just can’t focus on me or the appointment. If you have health concerns, she apparently doesn’t want to have to do her job to help you. If you had maybe a common cold... MAYBE. This person won’t be your Health advocate. You would be just an inconvenience. If you value your health, trust someone else.

I was extremely disappointed in my new patient appointment with this MD. It took me 5 months to get an appointment. It was obvious that this doctor did not take a few minutes to look at my health history before entering the room; she did not know my major medical history (heart disease, cancer). I felt that this doctor was very short and judgmental. This is especially disappointing as I'm an RN and I've never been treated so disrespectfully and rude by a doctor! She refused to renew a prescription that I had been taking for several years and for which no previous doctors had a problem prescribing me. When I asked for alternatives, she offered none; she stood up and walked out of the room. I would not recommend this MD to my worse enemy. I would recommend looking to San Luis Obispo for a more qualified MD. I will be finding a more experienced and compassionate Primary MD.
