Dr. Roy Brumby Sessions, MD

Roy Sessions ruined my life by not following through with my buccal mucosa tumor in my left parotid gland. For 3 and a half years after my first diagnosis and surgery (2002), he defiantly kept telling me I no longer had cancer even though I still had symptoms. He would tell my husband that I was imagining it, while making circular motions with his finger up by his head like I was crazy. We fought like a married couple but I stayed with him because he was the history of my situation. Well, 3 and half years later the tumor he missed grew outside of the lining of the mouth. It caused twitching and sharp pains up and down the whole side of my head. "Oh! That has to come out!", he said. 2 more surgeries were done (he didn't even get clean margins second time around) then tells me I should have radiation. His team at Beth Israel, NYC disagreed with him about giving me radiation. "I told him radiation was not necessary once having clean margins", advised one of his team doctors stated… after he left. Roy was so adamant and arogant that he insisted I should do radiation. I was his last patient at Beth Israel before he left to Charleston and his last words to me were, "I forgot to listen to my patient, who knows their body best. I should have helped you sooner." No apology, compassion, nothing. Well, he 'retired' to Charleston and I like a fool, I followed his advice anyway and went on with the radiation treatments. 35 treatments. It has now been 12 years and I have had a piece of my tongue removed from radiation, have so much scar tissue from the 3 surgeries that I can't speak clearly with my jaw being so tight from the scar tissue and abnormal tongue, face is sunken in where I look like a freak, and in constant pain every day. Brushing my teeth is even difficult. Get other opinions before allowing this arrogant, egotistical man cut you. I hope he gets his one day. Bad karma to you Roy.

He took care of my daughter who was very self-conscious about a goiter on her neck. She was suffering from Leukemia and also susceptible to Keloids. He took pains to leave her no SCAR and she proudly showed her neck until she passed away. We were really so happy with him, GOD BLESS DR SESSIONS ð???

Dr. Sessions saved my life while at the Georgetown University Hospital with an extremely complicated surgery for removal of a vegal neuroma.I have the highest regards for him, and hope, that he will read this comment, so I can say: Thank you again Dr. Sessions. I am still amazed, how he operated on me.

I have serious doubts that Dr.Sessions actually performed my thyroid surgery,I base this onthe fact that he was unaware of which lobe was removed,right or left. In my opinion,he is a poor doctor,but an excellent salesman,he did a terrific job selling himself!!!!!!!

Dr. Sessions is a legend in the medical community for good reason. He is second to none in his field. He is a genius, as well as a kind, wonderful human being. He performed major surgery on my neck and saved my life. His follow-up is the greatest. I am forever grateful to him.

Dr. Sessions is a knowledgable informative skilled surgeon. He is a respectful thoughtful man. I made the right choice when I chose him !!!!
