Dr. Counelis is the reason I'm alive today. My brain surgeries were a success because of his extraordinary talent. His bedside manner also exceeds any expectations. He will always be the hero to my family and me! So grateful to have him as my specialist!

Dr Counelis treated me at a very critical time in my life. I felt in the best of hands. He was concerned, explained well, and most importantly, he had the skill to pull me through a very bad illness. He is excellent! Office staff is wonderful.

From the time you enter his office, you feel in a professional environment. It is very neat, clean, orderly and 21st Century. A beautiful big screen TV shows high quality nature programming and the chairs have individual TV screens featuring medical topics and information. The receptionist is cordial and friendly. Dr. Counelis projects a calm thoughtful demeanor. He listens, analyzes and provides easily understood diagnosis and plan of action. I feel very confident being his patient.

Dr.Counelis has excellent surgical skills and a warm bedside manner. His support staff is friendly and efficient.

It is difficult to find words that are adequate to express my sincere appreciation for what Dr. Counelis accomplished in order to repair the deterioration to my spine so that I can now continue to do the physical things I thought were no longer possible. His suit is way nicer then his personality. The way he rolls his eyes when one asks him a questions makes him look cocky. Aside from that, I thank him with all my heart for his outstanding neurology work on my dads neck that allowed my dad to walk after a horrifying accident. I had a ruptured aneurysm which was handled by Dr, Counelis. The nurse called me a miracle. Evidently, not many survive what I was dealing with. In my humble opinion, he is a genius!! However God is in complete control and used Dr. Counelis to operate.

Dr. Counelis is a stereotypical surgeon - he gave his opinion, which was that I needed the most invasive procedure possible, and essentially gave it as a take-it-or-leave-it. He then disappeared for several days and did not follow up with me until the day before the procedure. I felt that his manner was extremely unprofessional and rude, and I would not suggest him to anyone.

I was his patient years ago when he was still a resident in Philly. But he was the only neurosurgeon in the team that knew what he was talking about. I would have rated him sooner, but just never remembered his last name. I remember one time before one of my surgeries, I was scared to be knocked out (as usual), and he was really kind and comforted me while I waited. I'm sure he is still an excellent doctor.

Dr. Counelis is educated and takes great care of his patients. He is thorough, honest and listens to you. His staff is organized and personable. They are also very patient and accommodating. I highly recommend this Doctor. I have been a patient for more than 3 years.
