Prescribed a new medication for me, and when I had concerns about what I experienced as side affects, I felt dismissed. When being prescribed a new blood pressure medication, it is not appropriate in my estimation to do a follow up two months later. Called to speak to her and to set up an appointment and was told she was not in but she would call back. Her communication skills and quite honestly level of empathy is not compatible to what I need as a patient and partner in my health care and concerns, particularly with my heart. I need a physician who will listen to my concerns, and not generalize that most of her patients tolerate the medication well. She said she would ask the main desk to set up another appointment the next day. I never received that call. I am grateful to have found another cardiologist, who is much more sensitive to what I am looking for.
