Worst experience with a doctor in my life, with Dr. Shervin Harandi at the Sugar Land location. See their other Google page under “Shervin Harandi, MD”, under my name (Kristen Sparks) and an even more detailed description of my experience on their Facebook Reviews. They are listed on Facebook under “Modern Pain Management”. Just don’t, especially if you have any kind of anxiety. Unless you would enjoy sitting in a cold and tiny exam room, in a hospital gown, on a hard table, waiting for a procedure for well over an hour, while being in extreme pain and then having a panic attack on top of it - while being ignored, all to never be seen- after you informed them of said anxiety issues. For the doctor to not even bother speaking to you for the almost two hours you were there waiting, watching him walk around the hall, while you happen to be losing feeling in your arms from the hyperventilating. I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW LITTLE OF A GRASP THE ENTIRE STAFF HAS ON ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS,… OR HOW TO TREAT SOMEONE WITH THESE ISSUES. Looking back, there isn’t anything I could have done to make it better. I informed them what was happening. I was upfront about anxiety 1) on my first patient form 2) during my first visit 3) within minutes of getting into the exam room, the day of the scheduled procedure 4) told the nurse, a minimum of 3 times, it was getting worse 5) when I saw and heard my husband go inform Dr. Harandi 6) before walking out, as I could feel I was starting to hyperventilate and was in unbearable pain 7) provided my medical records. Then to never be called back, until a negative very honest online review was made and calling my husband first. All for Dr. Shervin to hang up in my face in under minute for being “upset”/crying. Then would never accept my returned call. Never to hear from him again, left untreated and still in extreme pain. They can’t answer basic questions, don’t return phone calls or speak to you even if you go up there in person and they look directly at you, after not having messages returned. Wrote a prescription incorrectly, which left me in unnecessary pain for days, including the day the procedure was scheduled, which my husband had to go up there and basically demand to speak to someone about, no returned call about it. Most unprofessional medical experience. He acts exactly like the kind of doctor that is used to having desperate patients and expects you to comply with everything with no questions, and if you are “a good little patient” who does things like sign consent forms without questioning things, he will graciously help you with your pain. He can do whatever he wants, and you cannot even make a complaint. Guess we as patients in chronic pain really are pretty desperate and some may be willing to do things they feel uncomfortable with a lot of the time, for relief just to stay compliant, or not complain at all. Not me. Making me feel like I have to beg him to get a single prescription. Write one or don’t, don’t say you will and then don’t! These doctors are only accountable to themselves, private practice and all. We have nothing to do but report the experiences like mine to the medical board, because I PROMISE YOU, Dr. Shervin or his colleagues, certainly don’t hold him accountable for any of his actions. He will refuse to speak to you and refuse treatment if he so happens to upset you, not worth it. I can’t get into the other doctor I am going to try for 16 days, that’s an extremely long time to be in 24/7 pain with no relief or help. Oh, and the staff will then blatantly tell you that you are lying about things, and lie about things to you. Completely left abandoned. My husband “Keith Sparks” has also left a review you can read on their other Google page for “Dr. Shervin Harandi”. We have never left a negative review for a doctor and this is the first time someone managed to make my husband upset in about six years, that says a lot. I cannot stress enough how much I suggest not going here. Unresponsive, unprofessional, unethical, chauvinistic and completely inaccessible.
