Dr. Matthew Steven Jolly, MD

My 92 year old mother was seen at St. Mary's Ascension ER on March 23, 2026. Her symptoms were stomach pain and spitting up mucus. I live in Atlanta and I was online monitoring her test results. Dr. Jolly diagnosed her with mild inflation. He advised my mom and brother the blood work looked good. False! In review of her test results, I noticed her CBC results. Specifically; Hemoglobin, HCT, MCH, Segmented Neutrophils, Lymphocyte were very abnormal. I phoned the ER department and left a message for Dr. Jolly to return my call to discuss further. Never heard back. I notified her hematologist doctor, who also reviewed the test results, and immediately requested an urgent therapeutic phlebotomy. Upon her visit to the hematologist's office, it was discovered her blood was very thick and clotty. Thank God I stepped outside the box and reviewed the results myself, as this could have resulted in a medical catastrophe! Shame on Dr. Jolly for not being thorough, following up with… the client and dismissing the entire CBC report! No excuse for these type errors that can be costly and tragically!
