I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Zaarour in Dothan Alabama, initially he was my father’s oncologist. The one thing I respected about this man FACTS. He wanted him to know what he was facing. But his gracious bedside manners he just wanted you to know the truth, daddy had metastatic lung cancer that spread to his Brain, kidney and pancreatic. All lymph nodes he gave my dad 2 more years of life with his family. I will forever be grateful daddy passed after receiving this time. It’s irreplaceable. April 9 2024 peacefully in a hospice bed surrounded by family. , but the story doesn’t end here. April 24 just merely 2 weeks later I had a cough that would not go away , so here it starts again at the age of 50. My father’s son has advanced metastatic cancer of unknown primary site. The moment I walked into his office. His nurse, my father’s nurse seen me and with tears in her eyes she gave me the most tender hug. When Dr zaarour seen who I was he gave me the biggest bear hug. We sat down.… Looked at options I always told him to be straight with me. He said a cup life expectancy was 11 weeks to 11 months we got on our chemo regimen , but of course tirelessly dedicated and always looking across the United States for any small glimmer of hope. And just his demeanor I knew he wasn’t going to stop we had many laughs many accomplished goals so here it is May 6 2026 I’m still alive. Yes I have stopped all treatments and hospice takes care of me. But I implore you if you are in the winter haven fl area or close within reason. See this man. MY HUSBAND IS NOW DECEASED. OUR FIRST VISIT WE THOUGHT WE MIGHT BE GIVEN SOME HOPE. MY HUSBAND HAD LIVER AND PANCREATIC CANCER. DR.'S FIRST SENTENCE WAS YOU HAVE STAGE 4 CANCER AND THERE IS NO CURE. IF I WERE A VIOLENT PERSON I WOULD HAVE SHOT HIM RIGHT THEN. I WATCHED THE BLOOD DRAIN FROM MY HUSBANDS FACE AS HE LOST ALL HOPE OF EVER SURVIVING. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DR IN THE UNIVERSE. GO TO HIM IF YOU WANT TO BE TOLD RIGHT OUT THAT YOU ARE PROBABLY GOING TO DIE. MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY DIED FROM A FALL NOT FROM THE CANCER. HE MISSED HIS CALLING HE SHOULD BE TREATING PATIENTS ON DEATH ROW.

Dr. Zaarour has been exceptional in the care of my husband who was diagnosed with kidney cancer this year. He is thorough, professional, and has a kind and compassionate bedside manner. We feel so fortunate to have someone with his knowledge and expertise in our area.
