Dr. Alexander Leight Pappas, MD

Dr Alexander Pappas does not know what he is doing. He is not able to answer basic questions that an experienced doctor would know. He tries to cover up his incompetence by making jokes. During the "physical assessment" he auscultated my lungs in one place, which was the right upper lobe. He did not auscultate the rest of the right lung, and none of the left lung. If you think there is something wrong with this, you would be right, because it is medically incorrect. During the office visit I told him that I regularly take my blood pressure at home and it has been running high, and I mentioned that I may need additional BP medicine. He stated, "When you come here it's been normal." I see my PCP once every 3 or 4 months. He ignores the patient's physical knowledge about their own health. At this point I realized how horribly he was performing and I tried to rehabilitate him by asking a few basic questions about drug interactions, he didn't know the answer to anything. Also, he… has a habit of asking personal questions, which are none of his business. His professional attire and appearance is another concern. He comes into the examination room looking shabby and dirty with a long ponytail. No one should come to work looking that way. It's as if he's making a conscious decision to look dirty. I honestly pray that a potential patient reads this post and reconsiders their decision in making him their medical provider. My goal is not to trash Dr Pappas, but to help prevent someone else's inevitable agony. Dr. Pappas needs a significant amount of professional mentoring and coaching before he sees patients alone. I sincerely believe he is jeopardizing the lives of his patients by being so incompetent. You do not need a medical background to realize that something is not right with him. Trust your gut and eyes.
