Dr. Parul Kakar, MD

I thought it was odd that Dr. Parul Kakar had very little information about her but seemed to have many office sites. I believed she was part of Summit Health, so I took a chance. My one and only visit had the location changed last minute, but I didn't think anything about it. At the visit (which understandably included an EKG...I have congestive heart failure) the doctor and staff appeared friendly and attentive as I double checked my insurance information....BUT..... 1. Dr. Kakar never made a follow-up visit. 2. I told them at checkout that my visit copay is $40 and my EKG copay was $50. They said I would be billed. Then, THE CIRCUS BEGAN..... Their billing department, which should know the billing code for an EKG in a cardiologist's office by heart, sent such a botched billing code to my insurance company that they had no idea what the billing department was talking about...and sent them a polite message to indicate it...and ....instead of working with my insurance carrier to… correct their error, decided to bill ME and avoid working with my insurance company. They sent ME a bill for 86.00 for an EKG. I submitted my copay of 50.00. Because they thought I was clueless, they now left my insurance completely out of the loop and are asking ME for the 36.00. If they don't correct the problem they caused, I will be reporting them for insurance fraud.
